Arrow Karma, or something

As some of you know, I used to have a 1996 911TT.

That was until one winter while it was being stored by my mechanic uninsured in his shop, he packed up and left the Country, leaving illegitimate bills behind which left me with little legal recourse.

I eventually tracked him down to Jacksonville Florida and recovered the shell of my car, the motor long gone. I tracked it down to a a buyer in California who had paid fair dollar for it, and had no idea it had come from my car illegitimately. I basically lost my entire investment in the car and aftermarket work I had done to it, and I still had payments to make. Pretty shitty situation.

Today, an old and good friend who knew of the situation at the time sent me the following links:
https://www.fbi.gov/contact-us/field...ney-laundering

https://www.pressreader.com/usa/arka...81809988524180

I guess I got taken by a real 'pro'.

It's great feeling when someone who has wronged you ends up on FBI.gov. I had an employer that ended up there.

Definitely sad and disappointing for something precious to you to go like that. I hope one day you get your dream car back in one shape or form.

I don't wish bad on other people...I just lose compassion for their demise.
but I would thoroughly miss that Porsche, sorry to hear that happened to you.
You have good taste in cars...and apparently bikes too.

Not trying to be obtuse, but you seem like a guy that has his shit together.. why uninsured?
Just trying to save some coin while it's not on the road?

I'll echo this sentiment.

Such a classic I'd think would have all kinds of insurance on it already.

Sorry for the loss, looks like you're a real OG to the Azine community though.

A local KC "businessman" was also picked up by the feds for lot of money laundering/type of stuff and he was a well known local car guy that had a garage full of ferraris, lambos, a ford gt, and many bikes.

This was 10 or 12 years ago, I didn't know then what I know now. I was saving in the thousands by taking insurance off for the six months of Canuck winter, and the mechanic/thief conned me in part by showing me that customer cars were covered under his shops insurance rider. C'est la vie.

Yeah I can understand that. Did you get any value from the shell?
I'm not sure what exactly was left or condition of it, but could have still been a cool project.

you could have left theft on and fire. Your insurance would have been nothing if you tell them the car is in storage. Sucks what happened to you too, but still pretty irresponsible with that kind of car.
