Raced a Saab 9-3

I have a 2010 TL AWD and a Saab 9-3 pulled up next to me at the light. He kept staring at me so i figured he wanted to go at it. But i didnt notice the light turn green and he got a head start. I tried catching up but i couldnt get passed his back bumper and lost. We got to about 120 and then slowed down. 305hp vs 280hp. i guess it was because he got a slight head start and he had a stock turbo.

Starts are EVERYTHING in races, though. A bad start usually leads to a loss, unless the car that is late off the line has a significant HP advantage.

In addition to being a 6AT (he was probably upshifting at the redline with his paddles ), the Saab does have a 220lb advantage in terms of weight...

If I'm not mistakened (even though you probably look at the size of the car) the 4G TL weights a shitload. It's like 3900+ LB Curb especially the SH-AWD.

Honestly, I've never come across any Saab driver that's looking to run.

Hehe, haha!

Basically, if he drove what i drive you were doomed from the start.

SAAB Turbo X : 2.8L Holden V6engine 305 lb/ft
11 psi Mitsubishi twin-scroll turbos
Haldex 4th gen AWD with eLSD 40/60 split
6-speed manual
Reaxs passive rear steering

600 only imported in the US.

Let's put it this way, my heart sang with joy when i learned that in addition to the Audi S4 kompressor, Acura of all decided to put out a capable AWD 6 speed sedan like the TL.

I have to tell you that i have been in the house of automotive pain with all sorts of faults on VW and BMW cars, the family 2005 Honda Odyssey (serial below 1000) runs like a champ, not one repair. The morale, Honda don't beta test on customers. Would you like to buy a 75k Audi RS4 with faulty injector design and leaky adaptive suspension?

The TL 6MT SHAWD will be at the very top of my list when i finish the Turbo X lease, if i don't buy it out, which is very very tempting, given the way this beast behaves. Turbos love cold weather btw.

A teaser, the new 9-5:

And let me put it straight, i am able bodied and will not drive a car without 3 pedals on the floor unless it is my wife's

I did have 1, but that's over an 8yr+ period.
