It could have also been turbo'd... internal wastegate to keep the sound down, amongst other goodies to do so.

but the fact is that a tuned NA RSX will whoop a 3rd gen TL 6MT with mods...

most likely its a NA tuned RSX

a turbo RSX would be gone, you wouldnt even see its tail lights as it fades away in the distance

Depends what mods on each car. A bolt on/tuned RSX (05-06 with the 4.7 FD are quicker) will easily pull a stock TL 6MT. A bolt on TL would be a much better race, but still tough.

Yonker's RSX is among the fastest in the country with his mod list (which includes ~200lbs of weight reduction). His car runs more like a K24 RSX with his mods. We had really good runs before his cams and before my FD/tune. I would pull slightly in 4th gear, otherwise we were basically dead even.

OP hung with a GTR until 1:40? Damn, that's late. I thought curfew was 1....

IIRC, Yonkers's car was about as quick as my TL is currently, up until he got the DC cams, then he got much faster. Think he was 13.6-13.8 @ 104 before the cams.

I think more like 40-50% of cars not 75% if you are N/A with bolt on, but then again those 40-50% are probably not racing you. Just grandma trying to get home ;p.

40-50%? Hardly. I'm looking out the window and out of the last twenty to thirty cars that have gone by, not a single one of them can run in the 13's. Camry, Sentra, various garden variety SUVs (Jeep Compasses, Libertys, Subaru Foresters), an old Saturn, early 2000s Grand Am, Dodge Caravans, old Caddy, Honda Pilot, VW Beetle, Honda CRV, 1st gen 300C base V6, oh wait, there goes an 8G V6 Accord Coupe...13's maybe if it's a 6spd and lightly modded, but odds are it's auto and stock, a beat to shit early 2000s Focus, Corolla, Civic, Corolla...Ok, there goes a new Boxster. First 13 second capable car out of probably 75-80.

Yeah, I'm bored. Lol
