And it's not that I don't believe you, I do. The point is and I said it MANY times - you beat the driver not the car. There are so many circuimstances could affect THAT specific race but most important C6 driver sucks due to no experience, otherwise (as I posted) others would never clocked the mid-high 12s STOCK.

Simply judging a single race and claiming you can take 'em is silly. You get the credit for making your sedan running faster, but common now - get back to reality. C6 is faster, lighter, has better gearing and has MORE torque as well.

Hey like my original post said, I beat a C6. Now you want to get into beating drivers and all that good shit, than you sound like you work for Rich Christianson. But yea on any given day, both professional drivers (my car and a C6) I will get beat. Now in 90 * weather and 100% humidity I am trapping at 108.89mph. What do you think I will be trapping at in 50* weather and no humidity, like the C6's are tested in. Just wondering. I think I can make up that 3 mph.

Just an FYI 112 is about the slowest trap I have seen/heard of from a stock c6. That's barely faster than my stock c5 trap speed.

Many are seeing well into the 115+ range.

Many factors come into play when racing as we all know, such as driver error, mechanical failure, or maybe both parties don't realize they're racing (obviously not a factor @ the track).

I don't completely disbelieve that againstallodds1's TL beat a C6, since one of the above points may have been a factor. Maybe he out drove the C6 driver, who knows. A win is a win....if both drivers know it's a race.

I think it's very interesting though, and would love to see some video/timeslips of a few different races w/ a few different stock auto C6s, so I posted this in the Vette forum on LS1.com, so hopefully someone in NJ is interested in running so againstallodds1 can prove his disbelievers wrong.

Ill be at Atco tomorrow night. Around 9pm Ill be running. Trying to get into the 12's. It will be 70* at 9 tomorrow night. So we will see.

who gives a SHIT!!!!!!!!!!! of course a C6 is faster than a TL. of course you coudl make your TL faster than a stock C6, but a modded C6 and a modded TL= no contest. the C6 is a true sports car and then TL is a sports sedan and not in the same category as a C6. now if Acura comes thru with a V10 variant of the new Gen NSX then all bets are off.

Nope no vettes running. I ran a grand national turboed. He spanked me.
I ran 13.30 at 107 mph spinning all through 1st and bottom of second. 2.19 short time. Grand National 11.91. I should of redlighted his ass.

2.19 short time in an FWD car with SC and spray, isnt too bad. Try to get that 1.9 with those radials!

I normally can get a 2.09 60' without spray. I have to wait till its cooler. Too hot now. It would be nice to spray off the line. But I cant without blowing the tires off.

Was that on the spray or just boost? Either way 13.3 in a TL is very respectable.
I'd love to own a GN....one of my favorite cars of all time.

P.S. All GNs are turboed.

I've had a 98 Z with mods and it was a beast from a roll..my SRT destroys my 2005 TL everytime from a roll or dig..stock TLs just don't have the lowend grunt needed to be good racers..modded they can be quick but it takes alot *read supercharger*.. all these cars people are listing are cars that can hit mid 13's or even high 12's right off the showroom floor..granted..on the streets anything can happen. C6 and 03-04 Cobras will eat anything on this board with a good driver. The only car I have that will go door to door with either is my 71 Dodge Dart and it has a big block in it.

The guy AcuraDriver2006 was calling out has a S/C. He would have been a voice of reason had Ugly not had a blower. But he does(plus other mods...). So he probably actually won those races. Therefore, so rather than be avoice of reason, AcuraDriver2006 was more of a voice of misinformation.

Perhaps a little reading would do. As I stated

"A Camaro Z28 slightly modified will blow any TL without a supercharger. SRT/4 can be real quick. SL550 will smoke your TL anyday and BMW 745i will beat you by a few car length."

so even if he had a supercharger, I very much doubt he's able to take a 385hp SL550. It's just not possible. regarding the rest, yeah I could give him the bennefit of the doubt. You see, I too have a Supercharged TL, and by no means I think my car is fast. To be quite honest, I think it's freaking slow whenever I hang out with boosted Supra and IS300s. Very disappointed in terms of power I thought I would get. The car just doesn't have TQ, and I state many times in the past "when you drive a car, you feel the Torque, not the horsepower." Try sit in a GTO that has 400hp and 400lb-TQ vs a supercharged TL... you'll think the TL is pretty shameful.... (that's not talk about design here, yes GTO is fugly, but it has balls.)
I get a good laugh when someone post about smoking an American muscle car. But you find out it's a kill story on a V6 muscles..... Those V6 muscles barely has 210hp. It's like a kill story on a 200hp Accord V6 (2002 model). Nobody gives a sh*t you know. And the LS1/2/7 board would simple look at it and just laugh.

I grew up loving muscle cars. Those Camaro Z, SS and Mustang 5.0 were beast in those days. If you're a kid back in the 90s and you want a sports car, you get a Camaro, Firebird or a Mustang. But time have changed, import small liter rules more than 70% of vehicles that kids purchase today. If you're a kid and you dream of going fast, you end up getting a 350Z, S2000, RX, G35 etc.,
But understand these import cars aren't necessarily what you would call it "a beast" like you would back in the Camaro/Mustang days. The powerhouse still belong to Domestic vehicles like Cobra, Zo6 vette and a step lower GTOs.....
A well modified Supra on the other hand, I can agree it's a beast...

I'm unsure if he sprayed but I know he had the S/C. 248hp (SAE corrected for a TL-S) plus a S/C and headers would get him near 350 crank hp. 35hp behind a sl550. I'm unsure of the car weights and we both know the TL-S is FWD with a shoddy 5speed so that does make your belief hold more water. IF he sprayed that would make his kill more feasible, but again we are not sure if he had it or not?

I recognize you said a slighlty modified z28 will kill a TL w/o a S/C. I agree 100%. BUT, that wasn't the case he made. He said he beat a z28(didn't say it was modded so I'm assuming it was stock) with a S/C and mods, which is feasible. Thus, I'm unsure why you brought up that a modified z28 will beat a TL sans S/C? I thought we all knew that. Maybe I missed something, if so, I apologize.

I put my car for sale but ended up keeping it. It just sits in the garage most of the time. I have a very long list and dont feel like typing it out. Im not even going to argue with the guys on the board. I know what I beat and I believe allodds beat the vette. You have to remember its very hard for that vette to catch traction on the streets. I seen them in action and its hard for them to get out the hole or even flooring it at a low gear because those tires will break out and lose lots of traction. While there spinning were moving.

Yeah no need to argue there. From your original post in this thread. It wasn't specified if your car was supercharged or not. So when you made that list, it was very doubtful for many of us. A S/C TL on the other hand can easily beat most of them inlcuding perhaps SL550.

TLsu, it was hard to know whether UglyPsycho was ever supercharged since it wasn't noted in his original comment so to take a slightly modified Z28 is pretty hard to believe. A S/C TL can easily take them. I have a couple of Z and SS around here that has nothing but a hollow exhaust and always drive like a nut case. I know those boys as they work at a local mechanic shop near me. Whenever they see me on the road, they always try to have a run with me. But in any case, I'm not a friend of NOS, I find it if done correctly, it's a great addition to any vehicle, but a slight mistake in the installation could put flames in your entire car or engine bay. I like going fast, but not really going to put a bottle in my mid 30K car.... lol Plus I'm getting older, car mod is sort of phasing out on me. I'm more focused on declorating the house and finding a bigger house

You're an idiot, these cars run low 12s when driven properly, also the C6 Vette only loses 18% of its power from crank to rear wheels. I wish I joined this forum earlier and saw this. I use to hit 12.5 in my stock auto 06 all the time. And I know this thread is from 06, but the 08 and up C6 has more power than the early C6 with a better trans.

I had more losses than wins when I was in TL 6MT... I got beat by the following vehicles from dig:
- some early 90's Camry 4 cylinder
- Honda Del Sol
- Mazdaspeed 6
- Corvette Z06

Cars I have beat from roll:
- Caddy STS
- BMW 528i
- Some school and church bus

I felt pretty shitty get beat by an old Camry 4cyl. Got tired of losing from dig.

MS3 was even worse from dig. I said hell with it I'm done with manual... Went back to IS350 with a newer model.

When I was in 2008 and 2011 IS350 I never lost to any race from dig or roll. I beat every time. I even tried looking for a run against a G35 guys and they would not budge. I am not gonna list the cars I beat here cause it will go more than a page and forgot some of the cars I raced.

I just wanted to see how much he could pull on me. It wasn't a huge difference cause his first gear was pretty tall. Long delay between gearing too. But he was faster.
