Now he wasn't even racing. I've gone cross-eyed from reading this thread.

well what i meant was its not like i was racing some punk to show off my ride. There is a difference. Me and my neighbor were just seeing which car would be quicker on a roll.

I think you 3G guys are annoying and need to pull the plug out of your asses. I also think you guys bitch and moan alot. I say the racing section should only be under 1 and 2G forums and the mods should add a "I am a pansy" section in 3G.

To the original poster: Have fun with your car and be safe.

Notice that I have used proper english because I know how much you guys hate the "internet english".

I guess I kinda got a laugh out of it remembering when (not very long ago) I used to act like that...oh well, I've gotten my TL to 130...

yes, it's dangerous to drive that fast on public streets
it was on the highway in the middle of the night with no other cars around
i'm not saying it's right...I speed on the highway (typically 15 over), but not on city streets with intersections/pedestrians

Man just do whatever you want, you alone are going to have to deal with the consequences of your actions. People can tell you shit till you are blue in the face about racing but that's all they can do.
Live and learn-most people on this board that will/are flaming you raced at your age and then the grew up. It's only normal. I'm not sure if all these guys ragging on you feel better after posting thier comments or what but take it all with a grain of salt.

I don't race anymore, but I can see the urge to do so when you get a new car.
I'm not saying it was right what you did nor am I condemning it.

So we need more people to talk about their stories.

I haven't been the track yet. Never. I hate to use the helmet in the car.

you weird people.

i cant believe i just read through all this plus the other thread about aspec05 and his "stories" about his college/dad/nj/ct/penn life. huh

i think people should just calm down and stick to the story.

well i drive a TL.. well its used so i guess a reason why mine is alot more believable (im not saying his story is false), but at least i bought it and own it. im only 19, paying my own way through college, plus drive a 99TL (that had 67,000 miles on it when i bought it).. but hey, if he didnt want that kind of bs from online folks, then either not post stupid things or at least make some sense in what he's saying and use proper english. i know its only internet, but come on. its annoying trying to decipher. upenn or not, get your language right

giving out real phone numbers is obviously not the best way to prove a point, especially in something as petty as gaining internet acurazine friends. i see you got a 201 number, so you must be from the bergen area. you shoulda came to a few of the meets up here that we had. another one coming up in a few weeks

The thing that's funny is that he said he's still learning to drive stick, yet he had an M3 before...do not the M series BMW's ONLY come in manual transmission? Someone correct me if I'm mistaken please.

the SMG package.. there's no clutch on that, so its considered an auto. the M3/M5 only came in manual or the smg models.

Are you sure he wasn't messing with you? I'm not sure of your mods, but some fella has the new a8L down the street and took me for a ride. I figure I can roll with him to about 80 in my tl-s, but after that, that a8 is like a rocket.

Wow, thats the biggest load of bull I've ever heard. Now granted, the new TLs are faster than my 02 type-s, but I had the priviledge (and its definitely a priviledge) of riding in one of those new A8s in post-break in, and that sucker is ridiculously fast. Maybe you could stick with him 0-70, but after that, that v8 gets to 130 faster than I can get to 110. And haha, did this guy really say something about getting to 140 in 10 seconds. The fastest I've ever been in my type-s is 127 (closed road, so no street racing comments necessary), and it took an eternity to get up there. The only comment that I'll actually agree with im is comparing the 545 to the TL. Now, i'm a huge tl fan like the rest of you, but umm...that bmw is sick. Anyway, all and all, the fact of the matter is that you probably need to stop basing your car knowledge off Need For Speed and Midnight Club and come back to the real world
