Nice. It's not as fast as its power to weight ratio would suggest. I'll take a DSG Golf R, that's down 48 rated bhp and still a bit quicker.

I actually wonder if it will make more power once fully broken in. Theres been numerous reports of people dynoing the RS and the results vary greatly. From 250whp to 310whp. I'm aware different dynos will vary from one another but this is a huge fluctuation. There's lots of discussion about it if you search Google.

But i agree, i was surprised i was able to keep up with him during the rolls. From a complete stand still i was expecting for him to win.

As far as the Golf R being faster than the RS, here's a interesting video of those 2 cars going head to head in a 1/2 mile race.

The 6MT R is an easy half second slower than the DSG, but I understand the apples to apples comparison. A bone stock DSG can run 12.9-13.1 @ 105-106 mph, which is amazing for "292" bhp pushing 3380 lbs through all four wheels. I wish VW hadn't failed with the 6MT and actually gave it launch control and the ability to leave at over 1500 rpm. It's sad that Stage 1 6MT Rs are barely edging out stock DSG cars, where as Stage 1 DSGs are running 12 flat.

Honestly, I'm not surprised you hung from a roll. I've seen 103-105 traps for the RS.

It also depends on what's available for fuel (91 or 93) and ambient temps. OEM turbo cars, especially stock with stock tunes, are very conservative from the factory.
