Got the oppurtunity to run a stock 09 G37x coupe. Did 5 runs; mostly all 60-~110 rolls. I was ahead by at least 1.5 car lengths each time except once where I pulled 3 cars on him. I think he can catch up at much higher speeds though...



It's got all the goodies, maybe that weighed it down some more lol

What you got on the '06 G35? and MT or AT?

The '09 G37x you raced is probably AT. '09 model has 5 speed auto IIRC.

I'm not surprised seeing that the G37X coupe is pushing 4,000lbs

The G37X is probably putting down about 275whp and has a power to weight of around 14.5:1. The G35 sedan 6MT come in around 3,500lbs, will make around 260whp with those mods, and has a power to weight of around 13.5:1.

His G35 is automatic.
IMO I would have expected the G37x to pull.

When and where? And yes, I also expected him to pull. Especially given the fact that I'm creeping up on 113k miles on the odo. I also ran a maroon (I think) colored 350z. This was last week around midnight. Sounded like a 6spd. Got him by half a car to the top of 4th. Maybe someone from long island knows him; it's a small world lol

Was he in Sport mode? Did he shift or let the computer handle it?

Thanks... He put it in DS mode and lets the car do the shifting. I think he might have tried to shift himself but started out 1 gear to high which might have been the instance where I pulled 3 cars on him.
