I was on my way back home from getting groceries and waiting at a stop light when out of no where the Ford Edge next to me squeals it's wheels as the light turns green . I slowly rolled into it and darted past him and then slowed down and he keep going. When he pasted me I realized he was trying to race me, I redlined 2nd and walked him in 3rd lol. For a second, after he past me, i was a little worried.

Wasn't much of a race but it was good for a laugh and share.

must have not been an ecoboost.

The Edge with the EB 2.3l and a tune will give a TL 6 speed a run for its money.

lol no it wouldn't but it would be close, the 3.5L version runs a 15.4, 1/4 mile. I didn't get a good look at which model it was.

Boost and tune... that's cheating . Why you no turbo Acura!!

No way. The Eco Boost Edge is a 16 flat car in stock form. I don't see it gaining 2+ seconds from a flash. Here's a Fusion with 2.0 and a tune and it's still a pig; 7 seconds 60-90 (takes the wheel spin off the table). A fully bolted TL 6MT takes 5.2-5.5, and the Edge is way heavier than the Fusion.





It's the tuned Eco Boost V6 Flex and F-150 we need to worry about. They're all junk at the end of the day though...lol.

The twin turbo V6's are no joke. Tiny little turbos, I believe they are GT15's, but the torque is just awesome.

For work I've had tons of rental cars. One of those was a Ford Fusion with ecoboost and your right the thing was a pig! not impressed... one bit.. On the other hand the new VW jetta with the 1.8T was tons fun,gobs of pull down low. What was goofy was the whole turning off the A/C when the car went above 70 mph even with cruise control... crazy Germans
