^^

All things being equal, 2011+ V6 Mustangs are quicker than TLs/Accords. 6MTs with the 3.31 axle are upper 13 second cars bone stock; mid/low 13s with just headers and a tune. Don't sleep on them. The automatics and especially the convertible automatics are slower.

Thanks. Brake torquing around 2k-ish rpms has worked well for me but my best time was done from dead idle.
The hard part for me was working the throttle just enough to keep solid traction. I think having some sticky tires is the best mod for a car.

You think i could run a 13.8-13.9? I have a '12 v6 5at j35 accord, im slightly lighter than a tl-s and i have intake, j37 manifold and throttle body, ur pulley, rv6 hfpc, atlp v2 j pipe, third cat delete, and stage 3 exhaust (dynomax resobator with mid muffler delete)
Ill be getting a cutout soon tho
My car bogs if i launch higher than 1700ish tho even tho traction i off

I noticed in your sig that you had ported intake runners, are they worth it performance wise? How much gain did they net?

I never dyno'd but IIRC other members have claimed around ~7-8whp. For me it brought back the vtec punch up top, since my RV6 exhaust setup lowered the power band towards the mid-range. Car felt stronger across the whole band and I can feel vtec again. I was originally gonna do the 3.7L mani / TB swap but several guys with 6MTs reported throttle hang issues, which I didn't want to risk. Happy with my decisions, car runs smooth and strong untuned.

Ps: note I did the PnP on runners, mani and TB all at once. No idea if runners by themselves would yield any gains.

They're not going to do anything on their own. Maybe one or two horsepower. But if you're going to port your manifold or go 3.7, upgrade your throttle body, it's part of the big picture.

Probably the fiscally intelligent ones who want to save money on initial purchase price, gas and insurance and still have the potential to have a 12 second car with bolt ons, gears and a tune.

(I'm sure most Mustang guys wonder what kind of man buys a TL or Accord.)

With some grippy tires you couldrobably do lower than that.
