So a friend of mine is challenging me to race when I get back to California. He has a modded 2013 Ford Focus ST turbo with your bolt on mods. I have an AEM CAI intake and Tsudo Axleback exhaust with straight pipes...So do I stand a chance or will I get pooped on lol.

if tuned, he'll most likely pull

if not tuned, you might have a chance.
but your tranny sucks and would be the limiting factor.

it would be a great race against the 3rd gen 6MT TL with bolt ons

Yeah I hate the tranny, gears 1-3 isnt bad but 4th-5th is so slow. He's not tuned that I know of just bolt ons and turbo

for some reason i really like the ford focus st. sporty, good looking, decent performance, and affordable. I just need to get over the whole negative connotation with the ford brand though

And OP, sorry, but I dont think you stand a chance. A bone stock ST runs the 1/4 mile equal to or faster than a CL-S 6MT, so with your auto tranny and extra weight, you're gonna be hard pressed to stay wit him

Dont sleep on them.
Ford is doing a lot better than Acura.

the 5.0 coyote engine is a win.
the 4 cylinder eco-boost is a win.

you have two great engines with great exterior styling and you have a win.
the interior's are getting better and better with each iteration

they even have a 3 cylinder eco-boost engine that produces AMAZING numbers.

while acura is just now getting into the turbo arena....

Same here my parents always told me growing up to never get an American car because they always broke down but after riding in my friends 2011 5.0 Mustang I have respect for Fords now

I doubt I'll win, I just want to run it for shits and giggles.
