Accord 6spd 13.57
Since only a select few check the 1/4 mile compilation thread, I figured I'd post my latest track endeavor here. Went to Island Drag Saturday and finally put the 14s behind me Most of you know my mods at this point, but if not:
CAI/PCDs/Custom Jpipe & merge collector/3" catback/Gasket matched 3.7 intake manifold & bored TB/Runners/Pulley. With these mods the car put down 270/227 SAE Corrected Dynojet.
I had 4 runs, all 13 second passes finally. 13.72, 13.71, 13.67 & 13.57. 60' were 2.23, 2.19, 2.17 & 2.07. Trap speeds were 101.20, 103.58, 103.71 & 103.90. I missed 4th on my best pass, hence the much lower trap speed. Probably would've been a 13.4x had I not missed 4th
All runs were done on 215/55 Hankook Ventus V4s (all seasons) with about 40K already on them lol. Stock 17s as well. Front tire PSI was anywhere from 25-28psi and the rears 45. Best slip/pass below.

Nice runs. That car will only go quicker in the cooler air. Is Island one of those NE tracks that remain open even when temps are in the 40s? My strip here (which was demoed) wouldn't let us run unless it was 55 and sunny. I was also envious of those strips that remained open when it was 35 out.

Thanks, I'm hoping to end the season with a 13.3x @104.x. Still need to take check valve out and open up the fog light cover so my CAI sucks in as much air as possible.
I believe it has to be > 40 degrees to stay open. Not 100% sure though. It's in W Jersey off Rt. 80.

Damn sonnick, nice f*ckin runs! A 2.07 60' time is awesome, way to drive that car man! I bet you've been practicing haha what mph does 3rd gear top out for you?
Edit: Do you still have your rear seats? Any weight reduction besides the performance mods?

Haha thanks Alex! You know what, I've had broken mounts for awhile. The front mount was torn and the side was all messed up. The new mounts definitely helped!
3rd gear tops out around 95 with my current tire setup. Only 'weight reduction' I have is a removed spare tire. Full interior down to the floor mats.

Fvck, that was fast.
What tires are you running? I always thought burnouts were useless unless you were running slicks or some serious performance rubber.
Thanks for catching the video. Loved the flat-shifts, too.
EDIT: Sorry, just re-read the OP. Still wondering about the burnout, though. Would love to see a perfect run with some summer tires.

Yea that wasn't a burnout, just a 'practice' launch to get a feel for the track.
Thanks man. AFAIK, 13.57 is the quickest time and 103.9 is the highest trap of any bolt on Accord thus far. Although Atlas isn't too far behind with his 13.64 @102.4x

Only run I've really had since the swap is an E36 325i sedan with a M54b30 motor swap (from the E46 330i if I'm not mistaken). He had full bolt ons/aggressive tune/e85, but he was only running on 5 1/3 cylinders. His 6th cylinder came up short on the compression test. He got a slight jump and I pulled 2 cars from 40-120. His car was much quicker than last time out with the old tune. Other than that I haven't run into anything.

I just got my CMC + SS lines installed today, I think my next track visit will be another test and tune "literally" and hopefully one last time before the season ends I can go for my best time. Unfortunately, Sonnick and I might not get the opportunity to run H2H 100% on the track this year because i will be doing a lot of testing with my launch limiter and new CMC. I am always down for some highway rolls though, don't need much to get those done.

Glad to hear it was installed successfully. We still have to do a couple heads up runs, even if the 2 step isn't set ideally. But it's up to you.
Looking forward to going back to the track to improve both of our times. I have no doubts you will best your time and hope I will as well, especially in the November air. I definitely want to get some heads up runs with Bob Ross too. My buddy will probably let me borrow his GoPro so we can get views from each car. Should be fun
Apparently a few Accords are going that same day. My buddy with the 370 may come too, so hopefully it will be a good turnout.

Lol. You liked my big, gasping sigh I see? Yea I was definitely nervous/excited at the same time. My adrenaline was pumping like crazy and I wasn't leaving until I broke into the 13s. I love the feeling of lining up at the track or for a friendly race. The adrenaline feeling is nuts.
I'm confident that come this Friday, I will be able to pull a 13.3x-13.4x @105.x. Especially considering the temperature and (hopefully) low humidity. I should have my 4" CAI installed if all goes as planned, so that should help as well.

Cold Atco air ftw! Couldn't launch tonight but was still able to best my time. With a less than desirable 2.27 60' I was still able to muster a 13.46 @106.66! Wtf? The conditions were very favorable. 3 best traps/ETs were 13.54, 13.50 & 13.46 with traps of 106.09, 106.29 & 106.66. Slips/vids at a later time

If you can match your last 60's, you'll be touching low low 13s. Can't wait for vids!

Think you can touch 12s with a full interior, N/A and street tires?

^ Lol. Na I know the conditions had a lot to do with that trap speed. My car was probably putting down ~290whp last night. My buddy and I put on my 4" CAI, so I think that helped as well. Here are 5/6 slips. The other run I missed 2nd badly and ran a 14.46. I also didn't get a video of all 5 runs. I missed 3rd twice trying to shift the life out of my car as you will see below. Got 1 good run for the camera of a modded TBSS. He ran a 12.8 @105.x but he slept at the light. My first run I had a great run with a B20 turbo Integra, but of course I didn't get that one on film. He ran a 13.42 @107.x to my 13.54 @106.29.
This vid I was pissed I missed 3rd as you can see. Hit the rev limiter in 3rd as well. Would've been my best run.

Haha. TBSS driver probably figured he didn't need to be on his game and that he'd pull like a freight train on the "15 second Accord".
What RPM were you launching at?
And you and Yonkers should meet up for some more runs. Should be tight!

I wasn't 'slipping" the clutch like I should have. I was launching around 2500-3000 I think? I wasn't paying all that much attention to be very honest. I left at 445 to get to the track and got there at 900. I turned the car off for a maximum of 2 minutes to get a helmet and hit the strip right after. They closed at 930. I got 6 runs in back to back to back....etc. There were literally only a few cars left.
The runs with Yonkers should be very close. But still, the DA helped the trap a good amount...

Thanks bro. The conditions were nuts. I want to go back Saturday, you down? The DA should still be negative, just not as much. Hopefully it won't be too much of a wakeup call lol.

Very nice times. My Cobalt put down 270whp and 250wtq on the dyno and due to lack of traction i'm lucky to run mid 13s. Props to you sir!
