I thought only the 3.7 came in 6AT. If it was the 3.5, the outcome makes sense.

It was base, FWD.

3.5 also comes in 6AT. Actually the 3.5L TL 6AT is just as fast if not faster from a roll than the 3.7L TL-SHAWD. My friend Jesse has the 2012 SH-AWD 6AT. It is quick but feels even slower than the 2012 TL we test drove(and beat the crap out of).
