2012 accord v6 auto vs 2012 accord v6 manual (6-6)

Good run, man. Looks like you started to creep back a bit at the top of 3rd. I do think that once you shifted to 4th he would've been gone though. The 6 speeds 4th gear is pretty strong compared to the auto. Impressed with your 5AT though, nice job.

I was under the impression his car had the 6AT, but after reading that came out in 2013 models.
Either way, great run OP.

Thanks man! Your build was my inspiration with where i'm going with this car. Next mods are ported intake runners and then the base map tune from ktuner

Thanks man!! I want to one day swap to 6mt but idk if that would be possible unless i shut off vcm somehow (vcm is the cylinder shutoff on the auto 8th gens manual v6's are a slightly diff motor and with no vcm)

You did better than I thought you would vs the 6MT.
Now on the 9G V6s, it's pretty much even between the 6AT and 6MT.

Yea i did slighty we let off around 95, so i had a good 15 mph left in top of third (since 3rd takes me to 110) i think i would've evened up before i shifted and he pulls again

The 9G motor is STOUT. With minor mods, the cars are going mid 13s nearing 105. Makes me wanna run one

Thanks man, glad I could help! I didn't realize 3rd was that long, damn. In that case, you may have pulled even! Sounds like a plan. So glad KTuner came out with something for the 8Gs. You should try the 1/4 mile.
In the coupes, yes. From what I hear, for whatever reason, the sedan 6AT doesn't allow you to shift at redline. I've seen some sedans go 13.9 @101 and a couple coupes go mid 13s @104-105. One of those coupes is 6AT, the other 6MT.

Yea 3rd is way too long ahaha 70-110, and i recently met a 9th gen auto coupe in my area with sri & hfpc so that should be an interesting run off a roll, we might be going to the nearest track (1/8th mile) tomorrow hopefully if it doesnt rain
Last time i went on all seasons and cut a 2.2 60 ft and a 9.3 @ 76.81

Btw sonnick,
When you say that you have a 3" collector for the j pipe does that mean the whole j pipe is 3" or just the part after the two pipes connect, would i benefit from doing that?

Only the collector where the 2 pipes merge is 3". It's actually a venturi collector which necks down to 2.25" at the merge, then tapers to 3". You may benefit if you got a 3" cutout as well, but with a 2.5" cutout I don't think you would benefit from going with a 3" collector. If you had a stock exhaust, I'd say go with a 3" collector and 3"cutout because you would gain good power. But I'm not sure how much you would gain over the 2.5" you already have.

And i also want to get pcd and get rid of my hfpc's. You know how pcd's start out as 2.5" and then taper to 2"-2.25"? I remember readig about someone who wanted to chop that part off and make the whole pcd 2.5", would i benefit from that seeing as my j pipe and cutout are 2.5"?
