V3 Triton

For the members who are running these, what is the longevity? Any issues you may have with them? I have been considering them for awhile now, but want to make sure they last a very long time. Also, are you running them with VLR resistors or is your flash relay modified? Wondering if the flash relay works and I wont need the VLR resistor kit.

In for replies myself. I bought cheap $30 switchbacks for the front and they burnt out within a month or two. Would like to go with the more expensive but would like to hear if they are worth it for the long run.

I have modified my turn relay with the resistor so less wires up front the better!

i've been running the v3 triton switchbacks with no issues since october of 2013 (2.5 years). they are just as bright as they were at the start and i've had no issues at all. i used the entire package that they came with (resistors and everything). i would feel more comfortable doing what they recommend and have the system work as they designed it. my resistor boxes are much larger than the ones they show and sell now.

expensive but worth every single penny....highly recommend!!

edit: just saw they jumped in price from 140 to 200!!! and that they are backordered until mid april (at least the switchbacks are). hope mine continue to last cuz i can't fork out that change again haha

I've had mine since late 2013 for both front (amber non switch back) and rear (red). No issues at all so far, still working as intended. Brightness is the same.. I'd say it was worth the money since they're very bright even in direct sunlight (which mattered the most to me, as I've tried so many back then that wasn't that visible in daylight). I used their whole kit as well with the box that prevents hyper flashing.

I bought my kit late 2014, some issues in the beginning but all sorted once they replaced the ballast. I run them in the day with my DRL's and they're on when low beams come on so pretty much every minute the car is on. No issues so far
