'11 F-Sport IS350 Vs. ~04 Mustang GT V8 (Modded)
It was on state road. The temp was 93F, hot and stuffy. I was on my way home from grocery store picking up a 20 lb of Botan rice.... It was in the trunk.
Well I heard this loud exhaust note from a vehicle far ahead. There were quite a few cars so I wasn't able to identify it right off the bat. When I got closer I saw him sprinting on and off passing cars at very dangerous speeds. This was a yellow Mustang GT V8 (~2004 model). It was modded up the ass. It sounded full exhaust at least, maybe headers... God knows what other mods he has on it. And it was a manual. He was in the inside lane. I sped up and passed other cars on the right so I can get next to him at the light. This was a good opportunity to evaluate my car's acceleration to find out what all this 0-100 fuss was all about. The car has never been pushed since bought brand new. Odometer currently reading at 4100 miles. He had a passenger. A girl friend I suppose? Both wearing sunglasses and looking cool. Anyways he looked over and started revving his engine thinking he is going eat me for dinner. I knew he was going to push. Thankfully I had only 1/8 tank of gas, but a 20 lb of Botan rice in the trunk. My tire pressure was 38 PSI front and back.
There were no cars front of us, a clear breeze, and was a nice straightaway. Even though not knowing how much of mods he has on the Mustang I had a feeling I was going to pull on him pretty good out of the hole if I immediately stomp on the gas on green. Well, the light turned GREEN. He and I took off pretty strong. I pressed on the gas moderately and stomped on it by the mid way of the 1st gear as I wanted to see if he's going to go all out.. He did. Heard his tires screech when he shifted, going WOT. I pulled a car and half. I thought he was going to creep on me after the gear change... was pretty adrenaline pumping. That Mustang was loud. I continued to pull steady... I looked through my rear view mirror to see his car ~slowly~ falling back. It was kinda funny looking at the guy's face through my mirror.. As soon as I reached 100 I braked hard to show him that I stopped racing. I pulled about grand total of 4 car lengths. This was based on looking through my rear view mirror. After I braked he did a fly-by at 110+ and continued to speed up the entire way. I kept at 67 mph as there are often cops in the area hiding. Speed limit 55. His girl must have said to him "How can you lose to a Lexus!" Look, I didn't mean to ruin his day. I just wanted to check out my acceleration hot damn it.... Haven't pushed my car to the limit for nearly a year ... except for a 60- 125 mph pull in the last winter. Btw my car is showroom stock. Kinda felt good and smiley face heading home after beating a modded Stang.
VROOM VROOMMMMMMM VROOM? I guess no more ZOOM ZOOM. Got tired of pretending to be a Mazda zoom zoom owner.

If it was "heavily modded" it would have eaten the Lexus. It most likely just had a loud exhaust. Stock, the things have less power stock than a TL-S. My Si used to pull hard on that generation "modded" GTs on the highway.

You're off by a little bit. A properly driven 04 GT 5spd stock can hit 14.1-14.2 at 99MPH. My ex girlfriend had a 99 GT 5spd that I took to the track regularly back when Infineon raceway was sears point and had no problem hitting 14.1 @99mph all stock.
IS350's are good for high 13's with traps in the low 100's. Franchise is right.

Plenty of IS 350's out there running mid/upper 13's at 102-105. 14's is only happening if you leave traction control on. 4.xx final drive makes them a strong stoplight to stoplight car for what they are. What do they make, 255-260 whp, pushing 3500-3600 lbs? Decent torque though.
And the GT isn't all that slow. Stock, on a 260 rating, they see 215-220 wheel and aren't too porky. I ran a couple modded ones at the track. They would out 60 me and I would catch them by the 1/8 or so and slowly pull away.

Oh I wouldn't want that. AWD will slow the car down. No way.
F-Sport package on IS350 is a whole anotha story..... Handling and steering is considerably tighter. You'll be impressed when you try out the F-Sport pkg.

Yur data is way off. IS350 gets mid 13's at 104 mph with hot 90F weather. Low 13's (13.2~ 13.3) with cooler weather. Trap has gone as high as 105 mph stock.
Now with traction control On and no light braketorque launch then you could get high 13's.

Just to put in to perspective had I ran that Stang with MS3 I would have gotten smoked off the line.... I may start gaining on it slightly by the time race is over..

Sounded like headers? Not many people with New Edge Mustangs have headers because they are a PITA to install.
You beat a 2004 GT (prob with cai, catback, and tune that is good for 20-25rwhp) with your IS350. No surprise there. Nice kill!
