07 TL-s vs 07 civic si vs 09 335i
My friend recently got a 2009 335i sedan and my friend and I wanted to do some pulls with it to compare. My friend has an 07 civic si with k20 head/k24 block, I/h/e, bigger IM and TB, lightweight flywheel, stage 1 clutch, and hondata tuned. The 335i is bone stock. So first I went with the 335i from a 20 roll. The 335 had 3 passengers of medium weights (~140-150lb). I was by myself. We went from 20 to about 80 mph, I got a slight jump because it was a good rpm for 1st gear for me. Kept pretty even the rest of the way to 80, and we shut down. After the 335 dropped off his passengers we went for another run and this time added the civic si. Did a couple pulls from 50 and the civic and I usually get a jump because its a good speed for us. However after 2nd gear is over for me(71mph), I start getting left behind by both of them. The 335 has good top end and always pulls past me and slowly pulls past the civic. However the race never went long enough to see the 335 keep pulling far past the civic.
Also did one separate run with a DC2 integra. It's a fully bolt on B16 I think and some weight reduction. He had done couple runs prior to runnig me so his Yokohama AD08 tires were warmed up gripping well whereas it was my first run with no warmup. He got a good launch off me by about half a car because of his tires. i struggled slightly wit traction through 1st gear. Stayed about even to about 70mph and when 3rd gear started I was starting to pull and the race was over. I've ran this dc2 from a 50 roll before and he would keep up for a bit but when I hit top of 3rd I pull away from him for sure.

Good runs. Sounds about right. Reading the Civics mods, I would've envisioned it creeping slightly on the 335 until 105 or so, then the 335 coming back. Was the Civic ever dyno'd? He's probably making ~240/180 or so.
You're still bone stock? How much did the Civic/335 pull?

civic was never dynoed, he is using an e-tune with hondata. but yea guessing 230-240whp.
yea im still bone stock haha, the runs went about as i thought, I'm just glad I stayed even with the 335 when he had 3 passengers lol

^ I'm interested as well. I need to do my timing belt/valve adjustment since I'm sitting just under 105k. I have a feeling my car is going to feel different.

Yes there was an improvement. The engine feels smoother. It is really hard to say if it made a performance difference if any. Maybe more responsive. My EGR port was pretty clean for 123K. They were redesigned with a larger port over the 98-02 AV6s so I think you guys will notice the same thing I did. Just a minimal difference. I thought it was going to be nasty in there but that wasnt the case. I only had 2 tight valves but everything else was great. I am hoping it makes a bigger difference in performance against Tyler T

You got my number!
I think the race will be a lot closer than you think ..
Up top, I think your AV6 is dead even with my SE-R with your mod list .. I think it will largely depend on what speed we start at.
Paperboy, let us know if you're available to run in the next 7 days or so .. I wouldn't mind running late night.

I'm excited to see our outcome. I expect you to pull, but we will find out! I'm down for a dead stop and a roll.
