With the sheet on and the layers of clear coat, how will fitment be? I'm sure this has to got raise the height a couple centimeters. Small amount but just wonder is the rubber around the moonroof and the channels will still sit flush.

Help me out here. Why are so many coats necessary? Is that the standard amount?

Well to do thia i used epoxy resin..once that dried untill the next day i sanded it 600 which sucked but had no choice didnt wanna take the risk of sanding too much.. So what the first coats do for me is cover the little imperfections. If you look at the first pic thats without any clear. Also its the roof which will have sunligjt hitting it and also rain.. Dont want it to fade and also dont want it to crack... But if its something like small peices i only do three or four good wet coats. 2 coats let it sit for a day then sand 1000 and clear again. Lmk if have more ?s love the tails

alright bud, so my question for u is when u say u transfered ur roof to real carbon fiber do u mean u are taking off ur current roof and putting this as a replacement roof? or is this just real CF sheet that u are laying on top of ur current roof.

the only reason i ask is if u are replacing ur roof entirely with real CF i am definately gonna want one custom one for mine ..... im serious too

He added the cloth on top of the metal roof. There is no easy way for someone to "replace" the metal roof on the car with carbon fiber.

^^ alright bud, thanks for clearing that up for me . i was just hopeful cause u never know. innaccurate replaced his moonroof with a CF plug. imo just do the di-noc CF roof overlay with clear coat, easier, cheaper

but still am excited to see final product

Being a body shop man and considering the "permanent nature" of this mod I am suprised you didn't make a mold, remove the roof skin, and replace it with a completely new CF skin. Especially since you took the time to remove the front and rear glass.

Anyways this is going to look cool once done. Good work.
