This pic makes it look really clean!
I feel like you could come in the side of the A/C duct with a cord that way you didn't have to charge it every couple of days. Since your mold doesn't leave much room to slide around and you are using magnets on the back, you could probably easily place that cord in the right spot so that it pops in when you're taking it on and off.

Well I was considering using a powermat for wireless charging but than the mold would have to be bigger. And Ssjoeboe, I was thinking of something like that but what if the charger fell inside of the hole I made..

BTW, after i gutted a few of the radio pieces, i was able to fit it back into the same spot with no fitment problems to the new dash. To keep it nice and still, I filled in the remaining spaces with bubble wrap so it has no where to go.

No, as in just the mainboard. the buttons and disc changer can be disconnected. I think that's what he did, not sure. That's my plan as long as everything can fit behind nicely.
Yeah i'd like to see pics also if he has any. would help a lot with my install.

The test picture is pretty much what it looks like. The stereo fits behind the new dash once buttons are removed and no it's not visible at all. Huge problem though, if you hit mode, you can never get back into Bluetooth mode for some reason.

oh you were able to fit the entire thing back there? interesting..
Are you sure you can't get back into bluetooth? I have done it before i'm pretty sure.... you just press it several times. maybe not.. that is a HUGE issue though if that's the case..

Ohh ok. I get it now. No more buttons.
I would probably get annoyed with having to remove and remember to take the ipad in the car with my everywhere. I am a fan of permanent things.

The AC vent is right next to the ipad. Drill a hole in the vent to let a small amount of air escape onto the back of it. Duct tape over the hole if you want to close it off in the future since no one will be able to see it.
You can also just use the cigarette outlet to charge it while keeping the usb free. Tap the wires if you are good with wiring or completely undo the cig outlet and run a car charger behind the dash out of sight.
Problems solved!

It seems you weren't to understanding. Leaving the iPad in the car 24/7 will cause it to overheat from the the sun. I used to leave my iPod in the car until I got the high heat warning. Also I'm not doing a charging dash because the dash is not wide enough for me to incorporate it.

I'm pretty sure pressing down on the bottom right corner is just causing the top left corner to lift a little, which is causing the sleep button to hit the trim :P
Looks awesome!

I never really used the bluetooth connection to listen to audio before but man its quite disappointing. Sound is very low and it can hardly hear all the beats :/

hmm maybe i could try to find an equalizer app and see if it sounds better. I used to use my charging USB to listen to music and it sounds amazing but BT is meh.
