Check in with BC Racing as I thought they were still offering adjustable coilovers for the RDX. I would ask if they are adjustable past stock height but I seem to remember someone saying they had already checked.

Then I suggest you take a look at the jeep patriot/compass forums, the jeep grand cherokee forums, the volkswagen touareg forum, the jeep liberty forum...etc. It is actually very easy to do, but the issue is that you may put the cv joint at a very awkward angle which could lead to premature failure.

Jeep owners are going to Jeep, that's just a fact of life. I should have excluded them in the fine print because those people are fucking nuts. And the Touareg rides on a dedicated SUV platform shared with other SUV's under the VW group. Count it if you wish, but I think the intent of my post was pretty clear. The RDX absolutely does not have the same off-road capability or intent as Jeeps and Touaregs. That said, you are definitely correct about the potential CV issues - same risk as when you lower a car too far.
I am in agreement with you 110% that the RDX is not, and will never be "real" off road capable. I don't think the suspension or awd system is nearly robust enough to handle pounding off road.
Lastly and unrelated, but I wish Acura would have made some sort of track mode where the system could lock into the 70% rear bias and a snow mode for a 50/50 balance.

Well if we're being technical I'm still right. Because in truth, before you pointed out your examples, I had honestly never heard of someone lifting a crossover. lol
But now I'm just arguing to argue because I'm bored at work and the holiday weekend is calling me. So there's that.

SO what the guy wants to lift his RDX? Its his car right?
I fact I would love to see a RDX lifted a bit with bigger tires. Would be totally different than what I've seen until now....
I've seen lifted Golfs, Imprezas, Minis.... so why not a small SUV like the RDX

Hey, I never said he should or shouldn't do it. Just that it wouldn't "really" make sense. But I would still love to see it lol.
