all motor cams will most likely have to much overlap. which will hurt power. talk to the guys at BC about cams. and start your own build thread with lots of pics.!.

cams?

Do you have a part number for the cams you used? How are they holding up? Did you ever get the knock sensor issue worked out? Thanks....

Spoke to skunk 2... They said we can use all motor cams, just going to have vtec engaged on the exhaust side which leades to shitty gas mileage... Ok so k20 cams do fit in there

Yeah, I was going to do Killer cams. But, my Stage 2 turbo BC cams were good enough for now. They caused the knock sensor to go wild though.

woooooorrrd... i didnt know this but when you remove the turbo manifold you can use a k20 turbo manifold... i might use the k24z3 cams, about the same lobes, but i think they are a little more aggresive. but going to so the k20 sidewinder with 60-1.... intercooler i might get creative with.. will post pictures up when im done

Well I didn't remove the turbo manifold. I only took off the turbo when I upgraded it. The manifold has coolant running through it. I'm sure the coolant lines can be bypassed. I'm not sure about the fitment of the k20 exhaust/turbo manifold matching up with k23 head. This hasn't been tested yet.

In order for the RDX to run a front mount intercooler, there will be some serious cutting required. The underside isn't open like the Civic's and RSX's. I wish it were, because that would have been one of the first mods for the RDX in my opinion.

question, about the coolant passage, does it flow internally thru the motor? cuz the lines i would just by pass them... not really going to pull my hair on it... i notice the gasket has ports for it i believe

The piping doesn't wrap around as smooth as it would if it were a RSX or Civic. And what do you plan on doing with the map sensor that is on the TMIC?

Man looks like a 20g would bolt right to the stock manifold.

You will need an adapter, because it is not a prefect square.

Ok, it looks like this was just put in that space. Also that grill will need serious trimming, hopefully your trans cooler will still get sufficient airflow, and if you plan to run the piping that way; yes, you will need to cut. Unless you plan on running 1-to-1 1/2 inch piping through the small space. I'm not just saying this for nothing, I've had my bumper off plenty of times and consider the FMIC a million times. But, with all the sensor surrounding the TMIC and the small spaces, it just wouldn't work effectively. But if you can figure it out, then kodos to you.

1)
- setup #1
тюнинг двигателя и не только он - International Acura Club

- setup #2
RDX 2010 обвес - International Acura Club

And there are more of them.

2) FMIC is adding a huuuuge lag.

3) FMIC is very expensive.

Yeah, those don't look friendly at all. Almost all custom and I'm sure lags like crazy, little turbo and long piping!

You need to rev up to 4,5k rpms to get on positive spool.

I think it took 3-4 weeks. He may not work on it if you provide the parts. Because people in the pass bought cheap chinese parts and their turbos broke and blame him. But, it wasn't him it was their cheap parts, so he would have to order the parts, highly suggested. If you were going to do this, I would recommend buying an extra RDX turbo and send it to him.

I don't think so, our turbo is weird. I have already tried to get that kind of wheel in; however, he didn't recommend it.

"Got the turbo in...thats a TD04 not seen with those end housings...crazy....been trying to find a billet comp wheel....not found one yet....I'll update you tomorrow....your bearings did have some wear on them...so good you got into it now....what is the time frame to have this back...could take a week waiting on billet comp when I find it."

"Hi Ken,
Ok there must be different versions of this turbo? Can you get the actual part number off his turbo...I am curious as to what his PN is vs. yours.... one thing I don't recall building that turbocharger and I am not in the city he describes..altho it is my cell number?? why he has that insted of my 800 is odd....anyways the 18T replacement wheel is same profile as his turbo by his post...and in billet...but it does not match yours...this is gotten interesting to know what the facts are and if there are really two different turbos...if there is two different turbos..his is a larger comp side which is what you want.

let me know

Thanks
Charlie"

"So, what size wheel are you able to fit in the RDX turbo?, 17t would be the safest."
