what's the reason you brought your acura?

Was it because you are into racing? Because you know that honda makes good products but you didn't want the honda logo? Because it is more price efficient than the competition and yet still as reliable or better? Because there is endless modifications that can be done to it ? WHAT'S YOUR STORY ?

I brought mine because it would have been a long walk to work without it. I usually bring it wherever I need to go. Or, actually, it brings me.

Had a 05 honda civic-hated it-one problem after another. Traded it for the 06 tsx when the civic had 36,000 miles and no more warranty. Wanted a comfortable riding car that had 6MT and 4-doors. My tsx is 100% stock and has been in 42 states. Great car for roadtrips.

We were driving a 4runner and the gas was just too ridicules. I think highest we paid was around 75 for regular gas.

The funny thing was when we bought the TSX we just went in there to check it out. Had no plans on buying it. Went in and had a good sale man and we drove the car off the same day.

+1

Also I paid 24k flat with 000,068 miles on the dash back in 08. They wanted 19k for a 05 with 60k miles so it was a no brainer to get the New 08.

its a funny story, i was looking to buy an A4 at first, but then they sold it right before i got there...mind you i had to drive 350 miles to get there, NJ to Baltimore. I already had my loan pre approved and the car was ready for me, It was a 6-speed too. I get there and It's gone and was sold that morning. I thought of it as a sign. I looked at other cars, they had a TT a RX-8 and The TL. My father immediately told me to buy the TL, i test drove it and said, where do i sign?

It was the most practical car for college. It was big enough for me to move my stuff around, reliable enough for me to drive for a long time, it had navi, it had leather seats, and last but not least it is one GREAT LOOKING CAR!

I know the TL is a great car and you probably love yours, but IMO it isn't very practical for college. It's pretty expensive on a college guy's budget, insurance and gas are more than average. If i were a college student looking for a car, I'd get the cheapest running thing I could find

Check my screen name. Just can't settle for less since we bought our first one. The RDX is much faster than my American muscle cars with a lot less engine displacement and a lot better handling and safety.
And the dealer experience has been exceptional since day 1.

it started off with driving friends integra's .....to owning the 96 TL to the 06 TL and now the 11.........i would love to say it's because of the lower cost than the competition ...but it's not....cause what i payed on my car note for the 06 and what i payed for the 11 i could've gotten something else..............

I originally went to the dealership to get a Honda Civic, Infiniti G35, Infiniti M35 or a Lexus GS350. It was a Sunday and the Lexus dealership was closed. So I went to Honda. Saw this nice silver Civic coupe and was ready to purchase. Something was telling me to go to Nissan just to see what they had. So left and went there just see if they had and G35's or M35's. They did and I was ready to leave. But something caught my eye. I couldn't take my eyes off of it. It wasn't even on my list of cars to purchase. It was a 2007 CGP non-navi TL w/ black interior...at a Nissan dealership. I had to test drive this car. This car was so smooth had some power to boot. I loved it. It fits me so well. I had to buy it...and that what I did.

Because of this forum I added a navi w/ backup cam (through Martin), changed all of the interior lights (and license plate) to LEDs. And, just this past weekend changed the DRL lights to LEDs. I was gonna add an A-SPEC bodykit but Ack said that the rear under spoiler is discontinued in my color

I never even knew about the Type-S until I purchased my car and joined AZ. I wish I got that but it's all good. My future plans are to add a J-pipe and ATLP quad exhaust so at least look like a Type-S. I hate all of you guys for have such nice cars.

My first 2 cars were honda and acura respectively.

My 3rd and last car i owned was a E46 bmw 328. I got into a fight with someone's fence while taking a slow curve at a fast speed and the fence won, so it was time for a change. Even though my suspension was also track ready (H&R sport cupkit w/ race springs, H&R front and rear sways), the cost of bringing that car back to life was non-existent due to all the damages. Did i mention, I didnt want to deal with bmw, benz or audi anymore and decided to take back home to Acura for the longetivity, reliability and the sexy looks of the TL.

So here I am today...

i must add ...i like the balance of luxury and sport that acura gives compared to the competitors.....i have drove many cars and just always felt right in the acura.........

i find with the competitors if you want the car to handle more like a sports car you have to spend ALOT of extra money ......like i am not looking for my SEDAN to handle like a coupe ...it's a different platform ......but i have hit some nice turns with my TL's and they have handled nicely ..............and have driven other sedans and had to take my foot off the pedal and regroup .......

if you ask idiot what cars have you tried ...a list i have test drove or drove from a friend...so far has been many maxima"s,G37 sedan and coupe the coupe was the best ...370Z was great also ..but back to sedans.....basic 5 series no M's or with sport package.....M37X from infiniti...lexus ES 350 ........the 3 series BMW was impressive just to small for my taste...I'M A FAIRLY BIG GUY..........

Plus shit i have never had any issues with the ladies and my TL'S LOL ......the ladies love TL'S

I was trying to talk my parents into letting me get a car, and we were just going to random dealerships and looking around. I didn't think I would actually get one though for a while. Then we went to a Honda dealership, and they had my 01 CL Type-S. I was like ok whatever I'll look in it, and my dad and I were amazed at all the cool stuff it did for such a low price, and how amazing the condition was for 160k miles.

I got off work the next day, and my dad told me to come to the Honda dealership, and we bought it. One of the best days of my life!!

And then an asian lady got her pedals mixed up and decided that the car shouldn't be mine anymore and that she should destroy it....

My first daily driver was a E320 my parents bought (they had three cars at the time but I was only allowed to drive the merc), it was alright; wasen't particularly fast, cool or

luxurious (base model no nav) and I felt like a grandpa in it. When it was time to buy myself a car I knew I wanted something that looked and felt fast but had some luxury to it

as well, so I got a 04 TL with 50k miles. I cross shopped it with a G35 coupe and decided against it as coupes are a pain in the ass when you're hualing friends. Like two before

me posted I also had no idea there was a Type-S and felt a lot of animosity towards those who had one so when it was time to get a new car (having loved my previous TL), I bought a 09 awd/tech tl.
