Carrie they are hysterical, they run after you and scream. They are very friendly but they have to be around you all the time.

I want a pet duck BADLY! lol
chris says we have nowhere to put it but i said i thought it would be okay if i got it a large kiddie pool and a house (like a dog house) for it to live in.
He said it would run away but as long as it had food and water and was happy at my house i dont think hed leave. Idk, the last thing i need is another pet but omfg they are so damn cute.

Harry - so what the bad news?

My girlfriend and I went to visit her Friend from highschool over the weekend. She has 5 chickens that she's raising in he backyard. Those things are domesticated and allow to be picked up and petted. They also have a pitbull, which gets along with chickens just fine. They let all the animals loose in their backyard.

My parents have a house for them. They were trained to come into the cage at night to be fed. works mint. If you want a duck you need to get it from a baby and train it by when you feed it.

i thought about that already but i think the pond is too small and i think it would eat my fish

i also thought about keeping ducks in the pool and chris said this "what are you fucking crazy? they shit all over the place!!!"
then he said this
"fuck it, idc, i dont swim in it anyway, do what you want, you always do anyway"

i wont put them in the pool but i AM getting ducks!

Ducks love pools. Just keep an eye on them when they're babies becasue they won't be able to get out on their own and they could drown.

They are really great pets, and they will get really attached to you if you get them when they're babies. Carrie you honestly have a great yard for ducks.

You can usually buy them at feed stores like Agway and Blue Seal this time of year. They'll be next to the baby chickens.

ok i swear to all of you i am calling some local places to see if they have baby ducks. If i can find them im getting 2 and a large sized kiddie pool and a house for them

heres my only concern - i live in the woods and theres foxes and fisher cats that will eat them. Do you think ill need like a fenced in area for them? Im gonna get them a house to sleep in at night but im afraid that wont be enough protection.

yes you have to put them in at night. We put them in at night so they don't get eaten by raccoons.

Carrie it would be best to make a fenced in area for them. Maybe about 10x10 or 10x8 to put them in at night. You could use a standard chain link that you can but at lowes with a gate on the front. Put their house in there, and fence them in at night.
