Love the star effect of the lights with your car shots Leo

with some editing and a tripod you coulda dome some serioud damage. Some came out on the blurry side.

No idea how you got the bimmer with blurry background but car in one piece though.

I've been practicing panning shots. Had I a tiny bit quicker shutter speed, would have been a bit better.

Yea, some did come out blurry, I was just getting lazy. I'm working on something though, spent the afternoon in B&H, priced out a few items hehe.

This summer I'm gonna go hard.

nice vids Leo/Nis Nice to see your car from the outside looks hot!. The result of the race went exactly the way I thought it would. It looks like it all comes down to weight. If I know Leo he also had a full trunk of stuff, probably 75 lbs. worth lol.

Haha, both cars had a passenger each as well. I'm kinda hefty too, I need to lose weight

Dan, you are right, I did have a full trunk. A PC I had to fix plus maybe 30lb of other crap. We had 50lb more of passenger weight as well...

what I really wanna know is if you were using your left foot to brake while waiting to mash the gas with the right off that last traffic light.

it would explain the delay in my car going anywhere as my foot was traveling between pedals...

Last one, I believe I wasnt, since you asked me not too.

I think we should meet in a more secluded area to test this

I asked you not to brake torque, I was just wondering if you were still using both feet without revving cause that would account for the lack of hesitation once the light changed.

On the video you can see my car moving slightly before I get to the gas pedal which is basically the time it takes me to get from one pedal to the other with 1 foot.

It is obvioiusly faster with two.

acura paddle shifters and shiftronic has a delayed response in gear 1 2 and sometimes shifting from 3 to 4. so if you're going from a dead stop then its probably best to leave it in auto until you get to third gear.

from personal experience there is no delay in shift 1 to 2 and it occurs north of 6,000rpm.

full auto shifts sooner and is 1 second slower to 60.

Most automatics w/manual shifting have a delay. My dad's E46 does too. But I'm used to it and compensate.

Is that why you hit the rev limiter that time

But yea, regular auto shifts before redline. I usally drive in Sports mode (auto shift), and use the manual feature to downshift slowing down, or to hold a gear going up.

ok...we got some confusion here.

There are 3 modes, sort of:

1. Full Auto
2. Sport Auto
3. Sport Self Shift

I was using #2. #1 is 1 second slower to 60. #3 is the one with the delay between shift and gear change.
