Mechanic/Indy Acura Specialists Queens, NY

I'm a new member to this forum but have been lurking for some time. Most of my questions have been answered by searching but now I am a bit stumped. I am a part time diyer and try to take care of as much as I can.

I've had a 3G TL for some time now and I'm looking for an indy shop in the queens, more specifically bayside/college point but am willing to travel a little if the shop is worth it. This question has been asked before most of the posts are dated or have iffy recommendations.

Basically I have some vibrations and rattling the right front of the vehicle. Dont think its the shock/struts but I guess the only way to tell is to get it up on a lift.

Anyway if anyone has any good recommendations, thanks in advance.

How many miles ? To me it sounds like your lower control arm bushings are gone but swaybar bushings and link wouldnt hurt to change as well.

I just hit 65k. I'll check out the bushings and control arm. Thanks.

I am going to give this one more shot but try and be more specific. I need the front rotors and brake pads replaced cuz my rotors are warped. I have the parts inhand already. This is usually something I can take care of my own but there are just too many threads about stripped bolts when removing the brembo calipers bolts.

If that happens, I dont have the tools, time or shop to get time-serts in.

Do you think this is better left for the dealer or does anyone have or can recommend a mechanic?

If you just need to replace the rotors and brake pads, then visit an AutoZone or Pep Boys store.

But if you find that they charge or ask for too much, then since the Bronx is close to College Point and Bayside, just take a little trip to Jerome Ave & East 169th Street or along the Jerome Ave under the MTA #4 Train line. Hunts Point Ave & Bruckner Blvd might help as well.

Shops in Queens might ask for too much.

Good luck.
