Paul just completed the sooner than needed 105k maintenance for my 2003 Acura TL-S. Nice guy and reliable. He's now going to work on getting a new heater core installed on my father's Accord. I highly recommend him if you're in the area and need some work done.

This weekend Paul completed my 105K service along with some other repairs & maintenance on my 06 Acura TL. I called around to various Acura and Honda dealers (including the well-known Hamilton Honda) for a quote on all the work I needed and the costs were astronomical; sure, they might give you a good deal on the timing belt, but they make up for it with anything else you have done. So I had Paul do the work, saving me a lot of money, even though he's about about a 90 minute drive from me. I was a little worried about using an unknown mechanic, but the moment I met him I felt a good vibe - and all the positive reviews here also reassured me.

When the work was completed, Paul explained every thing that was done and showed me the wear on all the old parts. He was very thorough and detail oriented - overall, a great mechanic and guy! My car is running great and I'm hoping for another 50-100K!

Here's the work I had done:

- Replaced Timing Belt, Tensioner, Tensioner Pulley, Idler Pulley, Water Pump, and Drive Belt
- Changed Coolant
- Replaced Radiator Hoses
- Replaced Spark Plugs
- Adjusted Valves and Replaced Valve Cover Gaskets
- Replaced Compliance Bushings
- Replaced Front & Side Engine Mounts
- Changed Brake Fluid
- Cleaned Throttle Body and Intake Manifold
- Replaced Cabin Filter

Here are some pictures he took while changing the timing belt, adjusting the valves, cleaning the throttle body, and cleaning the intake manifold.

Paul recently did my 105k along with various odds and ends. I almost fell over when quoting out the work with local Acura dealerships. Talk about a rip off! Not only were Paul's prices very good, but I felt very reassured that he was doing the work right and treating my car like it was his. I'm sure you all know how rare this feeling is when dealing with automotive servicing/repairs.

Thank you Paul for your work and thank you Acurazine for helping me find him. I will most certainly be going back to him for any and all work to my car in the future.

Same to you! I sure wish we had a "Paul" here in MA.

I've mentioned it a couple of times to the mods where we should put together a directory of good indie shops or solo mechanics like yourself. I'm sure Aziners would make good use of the directory and it's contents -

Just had Paul do the following work to my 6MT 07 Type S:

Timing Belt
Timing Belt Tensioner
Timing Belt Adjuster
Timing Belt Idler
Water Pump w/ Gasket
Drivebelt
Thermostat
Upper and Lower Radiator Hose
Cam Seals
Crank Seal
Oil Pump Seal
Spark Plugs
Brake Flush and new Brake Lines
Valve Cover Gaskets/Seals
Valve Adjustment

Car runs better than ever, and you can't beat his service or pricing. It's very reassuring to know that someone with his knowledge and experience will be working on your car.

He definitely has my highest recommendations, and I'll definitely be back for more service.

Thanks Paul!

I just want to put in some words for Paul. I had the following done on my 05 TL

Front & Rear brakes (rotors + pads)
Left rear caliper install
SS brake lines
Front engine mounts
Front compliance bushings
Transmission fluid flush
P/S pump replacement

Paul did excellent work & was priced very reasonable. He supplied all the OEM parts required & provided at very good rates. I only purchased the after market parts (brake lines + rotors + caliper) outside.

He was also very accommodating with my crappy schedule & made the process very easy.

I plan to return to him next year with some projects I have in mind. I highly recommend him for your Acura/Honda work.

Want to put in a good word for Paul as well. I got the following done a few days ago:
1. Power steering o-rings both ends of hose.
2. Power steering flush/refill.
3. Manual trans fluid change to GM synchromesh.
4. Throttle body cleaned.

Professionally and properly done and a nice guy. Answers any questions and willing to help. He recommended cleaning the throttle body and did it for free, which I believe really helped the car run a lot better. Recommended. Will be going back for more things.

I've had Paul change my spark plugs, compliance bushings, axles, wheel bearing and he has also helped me through various issues I've had with my car.

Great guy to deal with and very accommodating, I will be going to him for future repairs/services

Hi Paul, I have a 2000 Acura TL. I changed the transmission range sensor because it wasn't lighting up on the cluster whenever I would put it into any gear. Also it came to a point that 75% of the time I wanted to start my car I would have to put the key in shift look, put it in drive, then quickly put it in park and it then would start. When I changed it, it doesn't do it as much as it did before but here and there.

Paul did a great job to my "new" 2003 TL

brake, AC, and timing belt and so on. you can tell he knows the acura TL inside and out. it's great we have a mechanic like Paul in our area.

I will definitely come to Paul for my other 01 Tl and 05 MDX in the future.

Met Paul last evening to work on my 2007 MDX. He replaced the spark plugs and transmission fluid. In addition to this he also worked on my last row seat where the cable had snapped from the handle.

He explained every thing that was done and showed me the leaks in couple of places which needed to be taken care of. He was very thorough, clean in his work and used only genuine OEM parts.

All in all an excellent, honest mechanic. No one should hesitate to get work done on their car by him.

How long was the trip? I live in Queens would like to know a guesstimate of how long it took you to get there.
OP:
How much do you charge the replace the entire power steering system (i have whining and a leak somewhere, factory recall was performed). Would you be able to diagnose where the leak is and determine what is needed to fix that and the whining? How much for the entire timing belt change? And are you able to work on lowered cars?

Sorry for the late reply, it's very close from the city, similar to travelling to Queens from the city.
I'll text Paul to answer you.

Paul did excellent work & was priced very reasonable on my 2008 Acura MDX.
Rear brakes (rotors + pads) -- I supplied the parts.
Fixed the heat shield rattling noise.
Oil changed.
Transmission fluid flush.
Replaced front O2 sensor.

He was very accommodating with my schedule.
I highly recommend him for any Acura/Honda work.
