Everybody is afraid to do my transmission drain and fill :(
I live in central NJ and I tried everybody: local garages, Oil Well, Aamco, JiffyLube, and R&S Strauss, and everybody is afraid to put anything in my transmission that is not "Genuine Z1 Fluid". I'm just trying to introduce Redline Racing Fluid slowly into my tranny with 3 quarts. Would anybody near central Jersey be able to do this service for me I'm so overdue for a service.

You can do it yourself, look at the DIY in the garage. It's very simple, you just need a long 17mm wrench to reach the fill bolt and also the drain bolt underneath the car. And also a very long narrow funnel to reach the fill hole. My friend showed me and it looked very simple. I'm going to do it myself next time once I get the right tools.

I was just told from a few mechanics that they agree. Honda ATF is a special make up and while the redline may work, no one knows 100% for sure if the redline is covering up the harsh shiftings or fixing them. The car is too new and too little information.
Some also said it would be a legal issue for them since the recommended fluid wasn't changed. I will find out from my buddy where he got his done and let you know.

Buy 3 qts of Honda Z1. Dispose of the contents. Put the Redline Racing into the new Z1 containers.
Find a place that will agree to use your supplied "Honda Z1" fluid (cough, cough).
Don't forget to tell them to place the empty containers in your trunk. After all, you will need those containers again for the additional refills.
By the way, I am being serious with this post. There is always more ways than one to skin a cat.
For added safety, you can place a small mark with a permanent pen on each of your bottles. Before leaving, check your trunk to see if the three empty containers have your hidden mark. This should pretty much guarantee that the Racing fluid was added to your trans.

I was honestly just thinking of that! Do you think I can do a 1x3 with Redline Racing Fluid if I'm currently at 94k miles while never have changed the transmission fluid (z1)? Do you think it would be safe to do a simple drain and fill with Type-F at such a high mileage?

BPJ - I have been reading in a few threads that it's basically a "trial" basis. So everyone is sort of a test pilot.... but the good thing is that so far.... good reviews. I was contemplating this myself, but I ended up just sticking with the Honda ATF and did a 1x3 for now.
