Hey guys, I live in upstate NY region. Snow/Salt is very harsh on cars here. I would like to buy a 4-5 yrs old Acura car down south where it doesn't snow that much that way the car you get has normal wear and tear. What would be a good location in NY/NJ to start looking? I believe I would need to stick with a dealer so if there is a problem, you can get it fixed where you live? Also, I believe NY/NJ is very populous and lot of people buying /selling cars so you should get a good deal. How about going through Carmax? The advantage of Carmax is you can pick car anywhere in the country and warranty can be covered locally.

i actually have a friend that just flew down to Texas and bought a truck specifically for that reason, and price too.

I flew down to South Carolina to get my CL type S in March. Super clean underneath. Bought it for an all weather daily, but I don't want to drive it in the salt now.. Go figure.

what if the dealer down south bought auction cars from up north!?

Then I guess someone had best do their due diligence. I don't know a lot of dealers down south, but none of the ones I know would touch a car from up north. They don't "do" rust.
