Bumper Respray

Looking for a decent place to respray my front bumper. I really don't want to pay more then $300. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

You get what you pay for. If you pay cheap, the prep work might be junk, resulting in junk paint. Paint adhesion may suffer (careful with a pressure washer!). Excessive chipping may occur. Etc, etc.

Just be careful.

At $300 its hard for a legal shop to make a profit. Here are some numbers, they don't really add up.

Bumper labor hours @ $50.00 a hour (unrealistic).

Remove/install 1.5

Painting 2.5

Primer .5 or strip and primer 1.5 (paint peeling)

Materials - 20% of labor rate. (5 hours = $50 in materials)

Color match .5.

Add up what you need to do and thats your total.

Keep in mind there are Haz Mat disposal fees, insurance, misc.

If you bring it to a cheap ($) place, they have to use cheap materials to keep cost down. Paint will look go for about a year then after it will either peel and/or die-back (not shiny). Get what you paid for.
