‘96 RL transmission leak
 

Hi all,

My 1996 RL has a transmission leak. It still drives, but I’m constantly adding fluid. I took it to a mechanic in NJ yesterday but he couldn’t do it, so he sent me to a transmission mechanic that is going to take a look at it next week. It doesn’t look like I’ll need a new transmission judging from what the first mechanic told me. I spoke with “ Acura Pau l” last week but his specialty is with newer Acura’s. He didn’t have any recommended mechanics for my older model in the area.

I’m in no way beholden to that mechanic, so I wanted to reach out to this forum. I’m in NYC, but my car originally broke down in NJ and the Autozone recommended the aforementioned mechanic. Anywhere in the boroughs or Long Island, NJ, or even southern Connecticut I’m open to travel.

Would truly appreciate any leads!
