hey guys,
i'm about to get some springs for my tl. The h&r sport springs is what i'm going to get. Unfortunately i don't have the know-how or proper tools to do this myself. I called forged performance in troutdale close to where i live and they want about $350 for roughly four hours of work. I thought that was kind of steep for the pricing and time for just a spring install.
Do you guys know of any other good shops around portland i could get this done for?
Thanks

If you guys know anyone looking for an H22A Long Block I have one for sale. Block is built for turbo application. Mahle pistons, Eagle rods, ARP studs. Head is rebuilt. Neither have been fired. Also includes upgraded injectors and adjustable cam sprockets.
I have receipts totaling ~ $4000 without the cores. I'm selling for $1500

i dont know if hondas are considered historic race cars yet..
#3055
During the Historic Races the car clubs (historic or other) are able to park inside in a car corral (for a fee). They are also able to do parade laps with passengers on Saturday and Sunday during the lunch break.
I've attended in the Audi club previously and if you're attending every other year or so anyway this is actually a very good rate for weekend passes with parking inside and a lap of the track.
If you are one that has no interest in the races then there's really nothing to do. But, if you're in here, you do like cars and driving or you wouldn't be here
There is also an auto cross (coned course inside the track) you can participate in for $5.00 a lap if you want to test your driving skills.

5 bucks isnt bad.. dont you have to register too? for dragging you need to register which i think was 25 or 30 bucks
#3057
To get into the auto cross event you have to be a registered club member and your club signed up for the car corral for the event. That cost is $45.00 per car (driver and 1 passenger). Then it's $5.00 per lap for the auto cross.

Holy new chatters batman!
Welcome to matt and smiley
I've been to the historic races before, not to race but to spectate, fun event. There are lots of track days at PIR for a variety of vehicles and classes, for someone like me who isn't much of a driver it's fun to show up and see if you can bum some ride alongs in some nice cars

long story...
1. close friend drives g35 coupe broke her exhaust few months ago
2. with plan to sell my exhaust in few months, i asked her if she still needs new exhaust
3. somehow she received some extra cash (unexpected college tuition refund) on the same day i asked her about the exhaust
4. she handed me the cash right away even before i made a final decision to sell it
5. with the cash in hand, she gave me couple days to think about really selling it
6. next day, found out that www.gtspec.com (makes chasis braces) was going to discontinue most of the chasis braces tailored for the fx
7. decided to order the braces before i can't buy anymore
murano is based off of altima platform vs 350z platform for the fx so interchangeable parts are rare between the two. drives different too.
and you should go for the g37 or the even the fx. trust me, you'll fall in love with either cars.

you really would have a brace over an exhaust? is the chassis really loose?
speaking of nissans.. drove the POS truck yesterday blew a intake manifold gasket on the way home... radiator fluid spewing all over the place is not fun..

well the braces will be gone and no one will make it once its discontinued, but invidia geminis are being mass produced right now and even if it discontinues the fx line, g35 coupe version will fit perfectly. and i heard most of the squeaks caused by chasis flex will be gone with the braces.
today, exhaust swap's been done. invidia for fx35 fits g35 coupe perfectly except tail pipe was little too long for the coupe. it sounded sexy fit for a coupe and burnt tips looked really great on white g coupe.

Its got 4 gears to bang through.
But if all goes as planned im going to be sitting on a new trans tonight.
Still a 4 speed but it has a Beef A Diff with close ratio gears. That way there isnt a huge gearing jump from 2 to 3, and 3rd to 4th. The trans now is just a stock Bug trans...so its made to spin low RPM at highway speed...
Screw that, i want to wrap that shit out.

i was going to mention you need to get some mud/sand flaps to block it from flying up near your camera.. it seemed like a couple times it was getting close to smearing the lens =)

Nah the Go Pro is in a self contained unit. Sand never touches the actual camera.
My new trans got picked up tonight. Closest gear set you can get in a bug trans!!!!
Dont know if you guys can view videos from my facebook or not, but this once has music, and less "down time"
