Thanks Min, someday...some day.

I forgot to mention to you. When I was gonna have my trunk repainted. Tualatin Auto Body offered to paint the spoiler for like 80-90$ since the paint would already be mixed.

Ask whoever it is youre gonna use if they will match that. Or are you looking to mold it in?

The trick is to wear them out before the pictures. Walk, run, playing, etc etc.
That way when they get infront of the camera they want to do nothing but sit still.

Yea molded would look best. Let me know quickly though. Ive got a bite on it in the BM, but would rather it go to you! That and i wont have to ship!

Not sure if ill start a "home business" too many strings attached with the word Business.

Once im done with school i have the option of going to the VA to start my own business with $0 down. They buy all needed equipment, pat me on the back and wish me luck.

The idea has been kicked around, but now a days more and more studios are closing down.

Pic looks very cool Kyle. Kind of a nostalgic finish, like those Saturday Evening Post covers.

Got my car back from RTA. Price came down from $4200 to $2800. Much better, but still a bite. Car drives great now. I'll keep it until the tranny warranty runs out in 3 years now.

Yea, that's still a little steep but better than $4200. How'd you talk them down..just so I can add more to what I already have planned to say if mine ever goes out :knockonwood: But I still won't expect much help cuz mine's at 156k..I drive way too much
I wish I could get a new tranny right now..I hate the relatively harsh shifts. Makes me feel like I'm not even driving an Acura sometimes.

Two things - I didn't need a new ECU. The ECU was replaced back in 2006 when the previous owner had the tranny replaced at 66k. Acura Corp paid a measly 5% toward the repair. I guess I can't complain or expect much goodwill because I knew my 2003 was outside the VIN range, I had 105k+ on the odometer, and I only went to RTA once in the past 3 1/2 years for service for only a $200 brake job a long time ago (I went to SC for new brakes and Orenco Honda/Acura Repair for the timing belt/water pump serviceearlier this year).

BCF, tranny coolers don't help. The trannies fail because of insufficient fluid flow to the 3rd gear clutchpack (case design defect or so I'm told), which should have been corrected by a tranny re-design. It obviously still has some flaws since my TL's tranny was replaced in 2006 by RTA, supposedly with the newly redesigned tranny.

man it just seems like honda likes to turn the blind eye to it.. thats pretty unfortunate.

least you are up and running now... BTW i saw a 2g white TL down the street with white/silver rims i want to say they are 19s but maybe 18s.. looked clean.. also here at my work there is a black CL 02 (i think) i only see the front of it since it backs in the parking spot) and its lowered.. looks clean.. so it seems like more people are rocking the older cars.. so you guys arent alone

Bonk, glad the price was dropped to 2800, thats a huge different. Yes it is a large amount but a drop in 1400, thats a big difference. I'm at 91k, I think if I plan on keeping the car I will start piecing together a 6spd swap but thats a lot of money to throw down on a car that is worth nothing now. This car is worth more then half of what I got her for, boo. Ive been seeing a few lowered ones more often now, I think the prices of them are opening up the market for younger folks, booo.

3qt drain and refill every ~15k..which reminds me I gotta do it soon. When I first got the car, the tranny fluid was as dark as engine oil! :smack: to previous owner. Now I keep it bright red. Only Honda ATF too..shit is expensive.

Damn, third tranny?? Well, hopefully this one's better than the last two.

I'm younger..and mines paid off Still worth ~$7-8k cuz I've kept it NIIICCCEE! I'm pretty anal about a clean car. Except for when weather is like this..hard to keep it clean cuz tires just throw shit up onto my doors and rear bumper without mudflaps..right now I got leaf chunks everywhere from Willamette Blvd and surrounding area driving.

The worst part is that I'm on the wear bars on my tires and lose traction easily..so if I take a corner too fast in the neighborhoods, I glide a bit over the leaves..LOL I've been taking it slower but sometimes I just forget. I hate leaves..had a bad experience once in the backroads behind Wilsonville and took a curve too fast in an '87 Toyota pick-up RWD and bunch of leaves on the ground. Ended up doin a 180 and almost hit a rock wall..on the other side was like a 50 drop...scary as F***!!!!!!!!!!

haha.. try driving on a gravel road with a 100 foot bluff on 1 side of it.. then have the road give way and roll down in it about 20 feet to only have a tree thats 8 inches around save you from going any further..

kinda funny though cause i was up there shooting my gun and as i was rolling the bullets went all over the place suprised none went off.. had to run 3 miles to the nearest house to use the phone too.. (before cell phones were really popular still had a pager only)

neighbor walked over to me as i got out the car and asks about blacked out roof. found out that he works at "the shop" on canyon road. simply they are like speed concept + 3m clear bra + custom bodywork + vehicle wrap + etc...

anyways, they charge about $200 to tint the windows on 4doors and the price includes installing the felts too. 503 motoring used to charge around $500 to tint the windows with the felts and even alexia charged extra $300~400 for the felts.

think my next tint job will be done at "the shop"

I love how our moms are filtering the boards now a days.

If you have nothing nice to say, your post gets deleted and you get a warning that you'll get banned.

When did a law get passed that you had to be nice? In this case if some one is talking about trashing the shit out of his car racing everything he sees acting like a 16 year old im gonna tell him so.

Maybe its good im getting out of the game. Everyone is too thin skinned anymore. Glad there is a local forum i can come talk to you guys on.

its owned by ex race design owner. neighbor told me the owner sold the race design and opened up the shop. seems like it'll steal away business from race design/speed concept with better location and upscale image. oh, btw... speed concept is up for sale too. anyone interested in import business?

Really SC is for sale, who heard that. I know Jay talks with the owner Tony quite a bit and that was never mentioned.

Anyone have a large box laying around that will fit a mid pipe...y pipe...and 2 mufflers?

The guy who sent me his exhaust for my ATLP had FEDEX pack his exhaust, and its wrapped in cardboard and tape.
