Got my estimate in from the insurance .. Just shy of 6 grand that is if the body shop doesn't find anything else once they start tearing into it and they said 10 days to repair

so i am guessing the top of the frame is bent? which is why its so much? any time you have a bent frame figure its gonna cost double to tripple.. and figure it might not ride the same after too.. they say its within spec but i call hogwash.. ive had it where it still feels different.. sold the car soon after cause i know it just wasnt the same

Apple has lost the Android battle a long time ago. -And- there are plenty of people like me who will never buy an Apple product out of principal/spite. The only one in our house is the 5G iPod classic that Carrie bought in 2005. It never leaves the safe now, so it is more of a museum piece, than a usable device.

Too bad you can't just get them to total it so you can buy a replacement.

Nope that wasn't in the quote think there was front bumper,hood,driver side fender, both headlights,grill,radiator, ac condenser, and there's some damage to driver door from the fender being pushed into it. There may be top frame damage once they start tearing into it and that might put it over so they total it, which at this point I'm almost kind of hoping they do. I had a question though since I hit a deer and not a person or car I didn't fill out an accident report body shop said I didn't need to . Now after all this is done and I get it back from the shop will I have a reconstructed title or is that only when they total a car out?

if the insurance company totals the car and you still get it fixed then its considered reconstructed or branded .. if its not totalled and you get it back then you still have a clean title its just that places like carfacts and those other car sites might show its been in a minor incident and its been fixed..

i wasn't aware of nexus until i got into android after disappointing iPhone 5 and buying Galaxy S3 for my wife.

Nexus 4 is Google's flagship model with quad core and 2gb of ram, running newest android system. and google is selling this phone for $349 unlocked without a contract and compare this to $600 unlocked no contract smartphone these days.


hope there is no frame damage and take it to high end reputable body shop.

Here is where the trouble starts, not branded but pretty much not the same car. Saw another person go through this. He had electrical issues and then transmission problems shortly after getting the car back. But without any proof that the accident caused these other things to pop up, he was SOL. My advice to you Matt is plan on trading that thing off before you have your own gremlins show up.

Nope, builder had a property line dispute with the home owner behind us. So lots of legal litigation has ensued between them and the builder and the closing date was moved to Jan 7.

Lame. Even then, they may not have it cleared up, if they don't we're going to walk on it. It's been a pain in the ass since day 1 and I just don't care anymore lol

so for how many inches are they disputing about? if i remember correctly, the house behind your new home seemed to on a higher level (stacked style)?

The builder bought the land from another builder and had the lots widened. When they were widened that of course made them more shallow.

The 3rd party engineering firm they used submitted the new lot lines to the county, but didn't record them.

The owners behind us signed off on the current lot lines when they bought their house. However when the final inspector came out to our house to give the permit for occupancy, he red flagged it because he noticed the lines were approved but not recorded.

When that happened the county had to notify the home owners behind us of the issue. Given the original lot lines (from the previous builder) they are show to have 18" deep by 40' wide piece of my backyard. Though their house would technically not fit on those old lot lines because it is too wide.

They are at the minimum set back from their rear property line of 15' just like we are, so there is no way they can move the fence into our back yard. So sniffing some money they sued for what they felt the value of that land is. With that litigation going on the builder cannot sell us the house legally, and our bank can't close until they can legally sell.

So they reset closing to Jan 7. But the new homeowners adjacent to us have been in this mess for nearly 2 months now with no resolution in sight. So we could end up the same. If that's the case I'm done with it, we've battled with the builder since the start with hidden fees and lack of communication. I stem to lose 12K on the deal but gain my sanity and britts sanity.

If I walk, I think I'll buy some acerage in North Plains and build something totally custom for less then this house costs...

Hey guys if you know anyone who needs a car for cheap, I have this 2003 P71 that I picked up a while ago, and I never drive it or even talk about it lol I was gonna tint it, paint the white parts black, and just keep it as a daily, but I changed my mind and I don't really need it. It drives well, has a clean title, and is the P71 so it is the detective version w/backseats. I'll hook someone up if they really want/need it. Let me know

You don't want those old crusiers. No matter how good they were cared for, they got the hammer slammed down to the floor almost every day. The nicest ones that I have seen are the detective versions which are typically grey. I found an old FBI owned Crown Vic about 7 years ago and I almost popped on it for a commuter car, but that was about the same time that gas prices were headed steadily upward. It was low miles and still had the original HP tires from the factory!
Those feds kick back Cali style.

^first model year, funny I expected the gas milage on the window sticker to be accurate. I should have known better.

Keep in mind that my plan was to buy a 2008 S2000CR. For some reason that never happened. -AND- Since we blew any extra cash we had on our remodel, I'll be keeping both cars for a while. Don't get me wrong, I love them both and they serve our needs. I just wanted a two seater hard-top.
