Acura of Seattle Car Club
Is there any interest with anyone in the Seattle area to form an Acura of Seattle Car Club. We will be more than happy to provide the venue for meets, trophies, fun filled musical and show gathering with bar b ques, if anyone is interested. We have the location and we will support it, but I need to know if we can gather enough members to make it worthwhile. I think if we could gather at least 50 people min to start and grow the club this would be a great venture.
Please emial cdavis@acuraofseattle.com if you are interested

Hey Cline-
I have a few questions.
-Why do you want start a car club? What is the purpose?
-How do you intend on promoting the club?
-Is there a certain demographic you are trying to target?
-Do you have a car to showcase?
-Would the club be limited to only Acura cars?
I have owned my 2003 Acura TL-S since 2006 and love it. The only thing that worries me is the known transmission issue, but knock on wood I've been fortunate. Over the 4 years I've been part of the forum, I've attended about 4 meets and by far the biggest turn out has been last year at the Acura of Lynnwood dealership. At the other meets attendance has been very poor. It's surprising because I see a lot of traffic go through Acurazine. Yet I know there is a lot of other Acura owners that probably do not belong to the forum.
My own personal experience and observation most people don't hold dealerships in a high regard. I apologize if I have disrespected you in anyway but again this is based on my personal experience with another Acura dealership. So I'm not sure if the level of interest would be very high. But it's possible that if you had a compelling offer people may join and attend events.

I would be interested...provided there were events that kept me interested. Try promoting the idea at other acura sites. like club rsx or tsx club. might even try nwmotoring. i know they have quite a bit of acuras. probably a little more traffic than here too.

I do know that the NW Legend group pulls 12-18 cars at their meets but there seems like zero support for them here on these forums.
I attended the Lynnwood "Import" car show last year ('09) and my Legend was the only one there.
Seems to be a barrier between the Acurazine folks and the Legend folks. I don't mean to step on anyone's toes, but from what I understand.
Just an FYI: the '09 Legend Summer meet pulled in people from Scottsdale Az, Vancouver Wa, Portland Or, and British Columbia Canada so there is a good sized number of local and semi local people that enjoy getting together.
