Things to do in Sunnyvale or San Jose

So my sister in law is graduating from SJ state May 20th and I'm thinking on surprising my fiance and staying from May 20-21 in Sunnyvale or SJ. Just wondering what is out there to do only been to SJ once and that was to go shopping.

Ever since we started planning for the wedding we haven't been able to do a lot like we used. So any suggestions would help

Thanks

Kevin

^ downtown and clubs is basically what we have. If it's weekend you can try going to great america theme park. Or look at the official website of San jose and check out any events going on. You can also check in San Francisco to see if there are things to do. Go on the pier, check to see if there is a giants game. Or try hitting up twin peaks in sf at night for a romantic view.

Santana Row is nice, one thing though is it is an upscale outdoor shopping-like area, so your fiancee might be pleasantly surprised, but your wallet might not be. But there's several things to do on that strip.

I recommend Yard House (on Santana Row) if you're a beer guy, and want to go there for lunch, it's a nice, brand new restaurant and they have something like ~100 beers on tap. Don't go for dinner though, I've heard lines are crazy.

that's sad, there's not much to do here after all

I would go to SF Union Square, Piers, and Japan Town if I had a choice I've been there a couple times and really enjoy just walking around and being there..shopping...mm..

Maybe you can give us a list of what you guys like to do and maybe we can throw some input out there for you..Asking us what to do in SJ is very broad

possibly by one of the bridges or water or a beach..
