What up sac, I just joined as as of tomorrow I will be getting a 08 tl type s. Would love to meet up and pick some brains. I have owned a acura or honda every year of my driving life. I can't wait to get the new car tomorrow. Will post a pick once I get it.

 

Also what are some good shops in sac/roseville if I need work done. Looking at getting the major 105k/120k service done soon

 

If you have time and some knowledge you should do the work to save a few bucks. I did all the work myself on my wife's TL at 110k and its still going strong at 140k, just my

 

Sbarbee get the (gates timing belt kit)Part#TCKWP329 That's everything
you need for the complete 105k service.Oh you will need a 170 thermostat
too. Look thru EBAY for the kit. It'll save you some cash rather than going
too a local shop for the parts. I think I paid under 200 for the gates kit.
Look for an indy shop too do the work. I wouldn't pay no more than 500
for the sevice. Or you can take VIC's advise and do the job yourself which
isn't that hard it just takes time. Me on the other hand I was too lazy to
do the work myself and had it done here in loomis...LOL

Honda was gonna charge me 599 for my 105k service when I had my 2G parts and labor.

 

That's a great deal! I wonder if there's any different's between the 2g and 3g
design? engine bay area, I'm sure there is.

I am going to get it done soon, but buy a different shop that will so allot more than just a dealer. But still looking for a place to do aftermarket work too

Hey if you are down to help with stuff, I have some up coming things I was going to pay a shop to do, that I would gladly pay you to help me so I can learn and have the help.

I ordered the parts to do the led drl lights to 6k, a hid 6k kit for the fogs and 6k hid bulbs for the head lights.

I am good one wiring things up, just don't feel comfortable pulling the bumper.

 

Ive done all that before so that wont be a problem. The bumpers are tricky the first time but once you learn its all second nature.

 

Does anyone have a digital SLR? I wanna take some pic's of my car, got some
new wheels and like to get some snap shots. One of my friends has a nice
DSLR but its like pulling teeth to get him to take some pic's.

Hey guys, I just thought i'd tell you this sunday is eurosunday the 25th at tracklogic
motorsports 8:00 am to 10:30 am in rocklin 4445 granite dr. There will be some sick
cars at this monthly event.

There is also cars & coffee every sat 6:30 am to 9:00 am in folsom.
195 placerville rd. I know the times are early but it give people time
to do other things during the day.

 

Car meet in antelope. 6454 antelope rd. tomorrow may 24 at 7.

New member need help!

Got a bunch of DTC s thrown at me on my 2006 TL, 70,500 miles.
P0977, CEL, VSA flashing D light after ATF change with 3rd & 4th switch replacement. Also pulled a few ABS/PCM codes, too much to do myself, I'm giving up.

I know Niello is going to tell to get a new tranny, don't want to spend that much money...please suggest me a honest & trusty independent shop(if there's one!) in El Camino / Fulton area. Thanks for your input, appreciated.

 

I need a great TRANSMISSION repair shop or mechanic.
