Hello all! Been a while since I posted on here. Been busy going through basic training, AIT and now language school! So, I'm out here in Monterey until next November. I'd love to meet some of you all, and especially get updated on meets! I have no idea where any meets are or any hang outs, ect. I've been missing the car scene since I joined the Army. So first off, hello! Second off, say hello! Third off, where the meets at?!

Good luck with DLI. I'm going to take a wild guess that you're either learning Arabic, or Korean? I've been working at NPS for 15 years now (CIV), so I'm sure I'll see your car around base/NEX or over at AAFES. Thank you for your service!
PS: Seaside holds a classic car show on one Friday of every month during the summer months (out on Broadway). Older crowd, but there are some sweet looking rides.
I failed to mention that Laguna Seca is basically our backyard. Military get great discounts, if not free tickets (?), for events so go as often as you can. Best bet for meets/cars 'n' coffee will be further up north in the San Jose area.

Thank you! And actually I'm learning Chinese-Mandarin. But yes, I have been out to Laguna Seca twice already. Loved it! Going to a meet out in Salinas Friday (at the Wing Stop if anyone is interested) so we'll see if I can get some more info there as well!

Did you take the TL out to the track? I failed to mention in my earlier post that the Marina Airport holds a autocross every month or so. I don't have the details, unfortunately. There are always tons of BMW's, S2K's, Miatas, Corvettes, and Elise's that make it out.
Just be careful out in Salinas. There's just way too much gang violence and shootings in that city. Pretty sure that Wing Stop location is on the safe side of town, but be wary at all times regardless. Nice rides will attract attention.

No, not yet. Sadly I hear autocross season is over :/ But I have also heard Salinas is pretty sketchy at times. Hell, I've seen it sketchy! But we'll see how this meet goes!
Yeah, sorry for late reply but it was nice! Met a bunch of cool people, and a fellow 4th gen TL owner! Anyways, any exhaust shops around here that would do a custom job for a decent price? It's stupid simple, but since I'm tagged in AL i don't have to worry about smog but I'm not sure if the shops would worry about that. Any input?
Hmmm locally not much. There's a local shop but they do custom work on BMW's and Audi's. There's always the Bay Area though. Have you taken your car out to Laureles Grade, yet? I use to take my RSX out on that road years ago.
