what is difference between acura and honda rear differential fluid
Honda is sell rear differential fluid 08200-9007 is Dual Pump Fluid II, Acura is selling 08200-9007A is DPSF, are they the same? i am very close to Honda dealer and don't want to go to acura dealer to buy it. can I just buy Dual pump fluid for my 2011 MDX car? thank you.

I'm a technician at a Honda dealership, and I have a 2nd Generation MDX also, I have bought the thing right before I have started there. I wanted to change the fluids as soon as I could, knowing that it be a fresh start. So I asked my assistant parts manager if he can order a couple quart of the latest ACURA SH-AWD rear differential fluid (DPSF) and I gave him the part number. He said from his mouth "we have the same fluid that we use for Hondas except it doesn't have that "A" at the end of the part number, typically the "A" at the end stands for Acura, and said Honda DUAL PUMP II FLUID should be the same thing. For a second opinion just to make sure, I called the local Acura dealership and ask them can DUAL PUMP II FLUID be used in the rear diff. and they said yes! I been changing the Trans Fluid and Rear Diff. Fluid at every oil change because I have so much left overs from up selling preventative maintenance fluid change services. Makes me feels better because new fluid=less contaminates=less friction clutch material on magnet.

You know here in Argentina the dealerships use ATF DW-1 as a replacement for ATF Z-1 in the REAR diff (in the back of the bottle it says to not use it there haha). We don't have Acura dealerships here (or parts). I complained and they say these instructions come from Honda Argentina. It's crazy. Next change I'll do it myself and use 8200-9007 Dual Pump Fluid II. Thanks guys
