TL SH AWD 6M Brought Me Here
2013 TL SH AWD 6M
I am relatively new to Acura but a long time Honda fan... I drove a '92 Honda Prelude Si (5spd) through college. Then upgraded to a BMW 330i ZHP sedan when I got my first job out of college. My wife drove a 2001 Prelude until last year when I bought her a TSX wagon with Tech package. We have 2 kids now and I was determined to have a wagon instead of a minivan for the family car! (neither of us care for SUVs).
I've been so happy with her TSX's low maintenance/great technology/sporty interior, that I recently did a bit of research and learned that Acura actually made a sedan with manual and I could get it with AWD. RWD and manual transmission had been my requirements for my next car, but I figured it couldn't hurt to have AWD. BMW still holds a place in my heart but they have definitely lost their way with enthusiasts. Can't say that Acura hasn't softened some in that respect as well, but when I test drove this care it shifted like an S2000, was faster, and didn't require head-turning revs to make it fly (though it still has a great Honda snarl!).
So I got pretty lucky and found a 2013 TL SH AWD with 6-speed and Tech package and it is such a blast! 40K miles and still about 7 months/10K miles left on the original warranty. Looking forward to learning more about these cars and making a few upgrades here and there. My top priority is eliminating the clutch delay valve, but I have learned so far in this forum that it is built into the slave cylinder and not as easily removed as in prior generation TLs.
