Nice to meet you all - This is my 07 TL
Hello Everyone,
I'm Andres. Up until now I was driving a 2002 330CI convertible that was my baby. It was very unfortunately considered a total loss when a driver took a stop sign and hit my rear quarter panel. It was hard to let it go, but it was time for something a little newer.
I searched, and I searched, but didn't find any good deals. Then I decided to visit the local Acura dealership to check out a 2nd gen TSX, but quickly changed my mind when they mentioned that they had a 2007 TL with only 48k miles. It was driven by an older woman that purchased it back in 07, and always took it in for all the scheduled maintenance. They were straightforward. It has the infamous cracked dashboard, and a few large scrapes in the bottom of the front bumper, but aside from that I was assured that the car was in really good condition. I asked to test drive it instead of the TSX. When I drove the TL, I instantly fell in love.
The car did start idling rough a few days after I purchased it, and it gave me the P0404 troublecode. My local Autozone was still open at that time, so I decided to get the EGR valve there. (Much thanks to the helpful EGR Replacement write-up on this forum). It seems like this is a fairly common issue, and I havent worried much about it.
I plan on getting a dash cover, fixing the scrapes on the front bumper, touching up a few spots/scratches/dings, and inspecting the entire car to get to know it a little better. Eventually down the road I'd like to get mud-guards, a front lip, and 4 new tires all around.
I've owned Nissan, Ford, Mitsubishi, and BMW, but never Honda or Acura (even though I've always loved them). The RSXs were my eye candy when they came out. Honda's reliability has also always appealed to me. And I must say, this TL has really impressed me and I look forward to driving it for a long time.
Enjoy these pictures from the day I got it:
Thanks for taking the time!

For the next few years I'm sure it won't need major service since it had the water pump replaced a couple thousand miles ago and the transmission fluid has also been replaced. (Not sure if it was 3x3x3 or just a 3qt drain & fill, I'll need to find out soon).
What are some of the major services you've done the last 9 years? If you dont mind me asking.

LOL! I am ATYPICAL, in a sense that the TL was my first car modding... since I was "learning" On the fly...I've broken a lot of stuff that WOULDNT have ever been broken.
Now, that I need my car as a daily driver, I wont be doing any further modding, because I dont want a broken car. lol
but as far as maintenance goes. it's the normal stuff that you are doing or about to do.

Ah, got it. Trust me, we all have our lessons learned, and it's better to have learned them the hard way than not learn them at all.
I have done quite a bit of work to my personaly daily drivers. I had a Nissan Sentra SE-R and made it into a fully built turboed daily driver that would sit in Miami traffic with the A/C on, while at the same time leaving 5.0 Mustang drivers confused. Also did a lot of work on the beamer, as well as my previous truck.
Since this one is in such good condition, I plan to only do maintenance and little moddifications to keep it as reliable as possible.
