New from WA

Hi there,

I’ve been stalking these forums for years and realized I’d never joined.
I’m up right near the border in Washington state with:
a retired 2007 RDX ‘Mochi’ (that saved my life in a head-on)
2013 MDX Tech ‘Hamachi’
and just picked up my 2024 ZDX EV on Sunday. ‘Okami Akoya’

Looking forward to connecting with other owners here!

Maya

Thanks!

Just took it up to BC, apparently it’s the first one up there as no demos have hit the dealers yet. Surprising for the sheer numbers in the Acura demographic up there.

Welcome to Acurazine. Congrats on the new ride. Is this your first EV? Are there any aspects of the new ZDX that you don't like?

It’s my first EV, I had the CNG Civic when it first came out so that’s the closest I got to low emissions 😅

I’m definitely getting used to it, as far as ticky tacky stuff - it does have GM features that everyone is complaining about, however some of them make it more user-friendly as far as dash set up. The display definitely feels less Acura, and the interior ding noise, which luckily can be adjusted.

The car is very heavy, and you can feel this in some situations of stop and go traffic. I’ve only tested it in Seattle and Vancouver, which is actually pretty good litmus test to use for traffic 😂
the brake adjustment for high low or no is nice.

It has that insane acceleration as expected. I’ve clocked it at 4.4 to 60 from dead stop.
It charges easily and quickly at home, and the handling isn’t as quick as my RDX but similar to my MDX.
