New user and new to me 2005 TL
Well I bought me a 05 TL today. Well it’s mine till my daughter gets her license. Going to leave it mostly stick for now but maybe some mods in the future.
This site helped me make the decision with all of the knowledge on here.

Hmmm, "stick" or "stock", or is it "stick" or "automatic"?
Just messing with you, I assume you meant to leave it stock and that it is an automatic.
Regarding mods, the car is pretty well sorted as it is, there are a few things you can do to eek out a few extra ponies up near redline, but the dollar to power tradeoff in this car is abysmally poor.
Once again, regarding mods, the consensus among the collective here is, "Maintenance over mods". These cars can run a very long time if the maintenance is kept up, then can become very expensive pains in the back side (and wallet) if you don't.
Speaking of maintenance, assuming your car is an automatic, tend to the ATF early and often. As you are a new owner, you might want to start with a 3x3 fluid swap and then change out the 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches.
And finally, welcome to the community.

Yeah meant stock. Yes it is an auto. Already planing the the 3x3 swap and just regular maintenance. Luckily the previous owner had all of the receipts for all of the big maint items required at the 105k mark and others.
