Hello everyone just joined the AcuraZine community. Ive been looking around this site for a while now and decided to join because not to long ago I bought a 2007 TL and I know that there are more experience people out there that know a lot about these cars and lets just say that I have a lot of questions. So hopefully I will learn a lot from you guys

Hello. Welcome.

If you're looking for someone with a lot of "experience" and that can answer questions about the 3G TL, then hit up @justnspace :fluffy:

Hey guys thanks for the quick reply. So as of right now my number one question has to do with wheels and tires. I'm looking to buy some Varrstoen MK4 18" 5x114.3 +30 but to be quite honest I'm don't fully understand how offset works so I just want to know if this wheel spec will work and what size tires I should use.

Thanks again and any info would be appreciated.

You didn't state the wheel width, but luckily this was easy to figure out since MK4 ? Varrstoen V2 says the 18" with a +30 offset is only available in 9" width. 18x9 +30 should fit with no problems.

Here's Undying Dream's 18x9 +30 on 235/40-18 set up

Wow that looks great. As far as offset in your opinions what is the lowest that I can go?

Depends on wheel width. You cannot determine fitment based on offset alone. Width and offset work together.

Play around with the tire and wheel calculators to see what will and won't work :

- Rim & Tire Size Calculator. Custom Offsets - Wheel-Size.com

^I echo his sentiments....

whats the widest wheel width you can go???
well, i am at 18x9.5 +22 and its fairly aggressive! if you're not lowered, the wheels will stick out and look dumb

I also had to do lots of cutting and trimming and extra shit in order for my wheels to fit.

To be honest I wouldn't mind going aggressive and having to do some adjustments but for now I think I'll just stick with the setup that I mention earlier. Thnsk you guys you've been great and I've learned a lot.
