New member - CBP 08 TL-S

Hey everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself. I just recently bought a 2008 Acura TL type S with 175,000 mi on it. It is a 5-speed automatic transmission. I've been reading through a lot of posts and learning a lot about how to take care of my new baby. I'm looking forward to interacting with you all and learning even more along the way!
I know this isn't the correct place to post questions...but I have an issue with my car that I'm having trouble figuring out. I'm hoping my new TL fam can help me out a bit! Where is the proper place to post questions? Also...are there any stipulations on WHEN I can post questions? I tried to post a question previously and it said that "I didn't have access to that feature"...whatever that means.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forums.

Since you have a 3G TL this would be the place to post about your car. You can post general questions in the main forum, or select one of the sub forums for more specific information.

For a list of all of our forums click here.

As for posting, you probably tried to make your post before I had a chance to upgrade your account, which has now been done and I see you have made several posts so this is no longer a problem.

Hello from Georgia! I recently purchased a 2012 Acura TL 3.5L Advance package with 6 speed automatic transmission. This has been the most laid out car with bells and whistles I've ever owned. Car didn't come with the owners manual, so I had to create an account with Honda My Garage online. That gave me access to all the manuals and some details of work done on it from the previous owner.

Welcome to Acurazine. I also owned a TL Type-S, and it was the best FWD vehicle that I've owned. I still love the aesthetics of it to this day. As long as maintenance is kept up with, the mileage doesn't matter. You're also located in California, so you also don't need to experience rust. What other cars have you owned prior to the Type-S?
