New Member and Acura Owner in Atlanta
Whats going on everyone?
My name is Adam and last Saturday I purchased a 2004 Acura TL 6MT. To be completely honest I have only had trucks my whole life and this is going to be my very first actual car. I am not super knowledgeable about cars modifications, mainly just trucks, so I figured the best thing I could do is join this forum and start reading.
The first thing I want to do is replace the front bumper with one from a Type-S. How hard of a job is that? The bumper has some front impact damage from someone backing up into the previous owner.
Also, I want to replace the rear bumper with a new one as well, just have not found one that looks great. Any Recommendations?
I am excited to be a part of the forum and am excited to show you all the direction I take this car. I will post a couple of photos below.
Thanks for Reading!

Love your screen name, Love the 6mt! love the silver!!!
congrats on your first "car"!! a six speed at that! of course, I'm biased with a '06 silver 6mt too, with type-s front and rear bumper!!
the type-s front bumper is a straight swap!! however, you will need to purchase new accessories, like....the chrome V trim, the chrome bar with the A, the black grille behind the A, and Fog light housing + the black fog light grilles.

Thank You!
I have had a couple trucks that were manual as well so I couldn't go back to that auto life. The swap doesn't sound that hard. With the name, I used the same name as my YT (Not plugging).
Where is the best place to get small little parts for these cars? Ebay? Like i said this is a whole new market for me so instead of using places like LMCtruck I now have to use places like ProTunerImports.com (I think that is what it is called)

the name reminds me of jack black in Tenacious D; The Pick of Destiny...where they get stoned and watch sasquatch
as far as places to get cool stuff; just depends on what you need!
for cheap oem pieces, I would check out ebay or junk yards.
for modifications, check out;
https://excelerateperformance.com/store
and
www.heeltoeauto.com
these two websites generally deal with Honda's/Acura's.
funny, I had like 2 trucks with stick shift and moved down to the TL with stick shift as well.

haha that is such a great movie. and with you having a truck ion the past, you understand the excitement going from a sloww truck to something that has a small amount of bite in the pedal.

Very much so! I had a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 V6 with 5speed manual.
Slow as balls and drank more gas than the V8 hemis...
I miss that truck.
but had to get rid of it, as fuel prices at the time were horrendous...I was spending like $60-70 on a single tank. Fuuuuuck that and moved into the TL which is soo much better on fuel economy
and has a lot of GO in the GO pedal!!
