Hey everybody!!

Son is currently going to the NASCAR Technical Institute near Charlotte and has a beautiful '08 TL Type-s (AT). He's working toward it being a pure show car, so he just picked up a '06 TL (MT) to be a daily driver. Only bad thing is the motor is bad, so it is now sitting in my driveway in SC until we get it on the road.

Suggest to your son to drop in a J35A6 motor instead of replacing it with another J32A3.

We are currently at that step now. I saw some older posts where car-part.com was a great place to start. Is that sill the case?

He had to replace the '08 motor when he was in high school. He worked at a shop and the owner by chance found a totaled TL type-s at an auction and got the whole car. Son bought the motor and some spare parts off it and owner got his money back and some scrap $. He and I are going to do it together this time... Should be a good bonding moment or we'll drive each other nuts! We shall see!!
