Hello everyone! I just got my first Acura a year ago and loved every since. I am a painter at a body shop and bought a 2001 RL that was wrecked from the customer. The used hood and two used hid headlights were 4x what i paid for the car, but well worth every penny. I love everything about my RL but i would like to add some more power under the hood. I can handle the paint and exterior, but looking for the experience and know how from you guys to help me with under hood stuff. Thanks in advance.

hello!
there's not much you can really do performance wise for a 2001 Acura RL.
there is absolutely little to no aftermarket support for that car.
Just enjoy the car for what it is! Happy motoring!

I'm not familiar with the C-Series V6's but from what I've gathered, there isn't a lot of aftermarket support, even when they were in full production. You could drop whatever weight you don't need, but a nearly 4000lb car with 220hp and a 4-speed auto is more of a comfy cruiser. At least appreciate that you don't have the dreaded 5-speed auto from that era. That was a dark spot for Honda. That transmission suuuuuuucked.

I been noticing that nothing is available on the market, not even cold air intake so I simply made my own with a universal cone filter,2 1/2" exhaust pipe, some imagination, and YouTube. Thinking about a little exhaust work too but pretty much not a lot underhood after that i dont think. Got my eyes on some 18" s though."Picture me rollinyo"
