New guy on the prowl

Hi all,

I've had a crush on a 3rd Gen TL since they came out.

Ended up getting a truck at the time, 10 years later the crush resurfaces and I am beginning my quest for the white whale. TL-S 6MT sub 100k miles stock preferred.

Hoping to soak up some knowledge from the community!

You got here a month or so late, there was the perfect Type-S 6MT for sale here several weeks back; I believe it had less than 70,000 miles on the clock, was bone stock, in great condition, a California car, and had an asking price of ~$15,000.

Omg, that would've been perfect.

I've had my fair share of bad luck.

07 TL-S 6MT - $12.9k, 77k miles NBP- Local Lexus dealer, listed on a Thursday by the time the weekend rolled around it was sold Saturday AM right as I was getting ready to head over.

08 TL-S 6MT - $13k, 78k miles CBP - Autotrader New Mexico private party, I offered $12k it was his wifes car and the husband accepted my offer, told me to fly out and check it out in person to truly appreciate it, I accepted paid a $500 deposit, changed my Memorial day travel plans, 2 days before the trip his wife calls me and tells me her sister was in a car accident and they are giving the car to her (total lie) refunded my deposit and did nothing to cover my losses on the nonrefundable travel costs (hotels for the drive back and flight changes) still pissed about this one.
