New guy
Hello all. I just recently purchased a 2008 Acura TL. I have several friends that have or use to have TLs. I have never heard any complaints so I decided to finally get myself one. I like this car a lot and am looking forward to reading and researching everything I need to know about it!

looks to be in good shape!
welcome to the forums.....
how much mileage on the car, and if you don't mind mentioning the price you paid?

It has 160k miles. Clean title, 3 owner with one small accident on the carfax. I bought it from a smaller car lot and they replaced the timing belt, water pump, tensioner, steering pump, battery, spark plugs, changed the oil, serp belt, front brakes/rotors and engine/cabin air filters. I tried to get it for $6500 but ended up buying it for $6700. It has been icy here all week (I live in Ankeny, IA, which is basically Des Moines) so I have only driven it once (aside from driving it home) since I bought it on the 19th. I am also replacing a few climate control light bulbs so it is currently sitting in the garage with the stereo and center console removed. I wanted to get one with navi but couldn't find a better deal than what I got. Well, around here anyway. Almost all of the ones I looked at were roughly the same price and either had body damage, salvage title, or needed maintenance done.

Thanks! I will try to contribute where/when I can. I am still very new to the TL game and haven't owned an Acura since my '92 Integra that I sold roughly 13 years ago.
I replaced my climate control lights (on the passenger side) and after putting stuff back together, two on the driver side are now out, lol. On the bright side though, I found a remote start module under the dash, got the model number and have a $6 fob replacement from Ebay on the way, so there's a chance I will have remote start! I had it on my truck so I planned on putting one in anyway. That could save me some money and time.
