Picked up a White Diamond Pearl 2002 Acura TL Type-S in October for a whopping $1000. It's got 199k and some change on the odometer but runs beautifully. After buying it I discovered that it was actually owned by a former AcuraZine member (MickeyTL) and I bought it from the person who bought it from him. This explained all the modifications I got with the car: OEM Lip Kit, Wings West Spoiler, Tinted Windows, Type-S Door Sills, Burlwood Dash Kit, Pioneer Double Din Head Unit, 3.5" Exhaust Tips, Red Painted Calipers, Megan Headers, Injen CAI, Unorthodox Ultra Racing Pulley Set, Tokico Illumina Shocks, H&R Sport Springs. Very happy with my purchase, haven't done much with the car apart from cleaning it up a bit. The previous owner got the transmission rebuilt at 120k, not certain how much longer I've got left on it despite it shifting great for now, going to go with the AV6 swap if it goes out. Planning on refinishing the rims, doing a 3x3 fluid change with DW1, replacing the sway bar end links, fixing a couple scuffs on the right rear quarter, maybe ball joints and such as well, and then just regular maintenance, possibly a couple more mods down the road. I'm in love with the power and comfort of this thing. Glad to become part of this community!

Thanks, and yeah I couldn't even believe the ad at first and thought it was a scam! The owner listed all the modifications and how it was in great condition, but had that crazy low price, I didn't even negotiate it down. And yep, the springs seem great; the car rides really nice, but I don't have a stock TL to compare it to.

Thanks, I'm hoping to keep this for a long time, I can't really even find a car that would be better than this (performance, comfort, looks, features) for $3-4000 (maybe GS300s and G35s), and if I do the AV6 swap the reliability should be on par with everything else out there too!
