Just Bought a 2007 TL Type S
Hi all! I just bought a 2007 Acura TL Type S with a little over 53k miles. I have been looking for years but could never find a clean Type S with lower miles. I am beyond excited to find this car! Wanted to get on the forums and ask if there is anything I should be on the look out for? What are the common problems with 07 TL Type S? Thanks for your help.

Welcome and congrats! Sounds like you found a really nice example. Would love to see some pics of your new ride, if you have any to share.
Plenty of friendly and knowledgeable folks here as well as informative and insightful threads from which you'll be able to figure out common problems. For example, the parasitic battery drain associated with the Hands Free Link (HFL) unit.... Plenty more to discover using the search engine, which works very well. Cheers!

Amazing that you were able to find an example with only 53k miles on the clock! (I thought my '07 base with 60.5k miles at purchase--about 8 weeks ago--was low.)

Thanks everyone! So far I have done the basics...cabin air filter, engine air filter and checked fluids. The brakes are almost shot all around so that will be my first project. Do you guys recommend going OEM or aftermarket? I was also thinking of flushing the tranny fluid and coolant just for peace of mind.

I'd personally lean towards OEM brakes (pads and rotors), but I'm sure others will know of good (or even better) aftermarket options and will be interested in hearing about those as well. Seems like a wise idea to replace the trans fluid and coolant. One of the first things I did on mine, too.

Congrats on the great find. It really is rewarding once you find one after looking around for months, or years in your case. Enjoy it.
